Une femme balaie les ghats de Bénarès (les marches qui descendent dans le Gange). On entend souvent dire que l'inde est un endroit sale, mais il faut reconnaitre que pratiquement toutes les rues du pays sont balayées chaque jour par une multitude de femmes. Si elles ne faisaient pas ce travail titanesque, Herculéen, Sisyphien, ... alors oui, au bout de quelques jours, on pourrait dire que l'Inde est sale. Je tiens à rendre hommage à ces héroïnes invisibles et inconnues, car intouchables.

A woman sweeps the ghats of Varanasi (the steps that go down into the Ganges). We often hear that India is a dirty place, but we must recognize that virtually every street in the country is swept away every day by a multitude of women. If they did not do this huge job, Herculean, Sisyphian, ... so yes, after a few days, we could say that India is dirty. I want to pay tribute to those heroines who are invisible and unknown because they are untouchable.
