An exciting update to an old-but-good fic of mine, Dusk. In the fic there is a beautiful work of art by @404ama, but it can be a bit gore-y for some people and I tagged for it. I’ve since added some coding so that the image is only visible when hovered over. This is one of my favourite fics I’ve done, and I hope this makes the piece more accessible to people sensitive to visual gore.

I don’t think the majority of what gets talked about with alignments is really all that useful, nor do I think the alignment system is on its own difficult to understand:
(This is phrased more deontologically [action-oriented] than I care for, but the point still stands.)
Things I wish got more attention:
Human cognitive biases pushing people to think and act in Lawful ways
A tendency in settings for humans to get called varied or True Neutral but culture to skew Lawful. (e.g., Eberron’s religions are all Lawful or Neutral except for the Greensingers and there are only three Chaotic deities in the Sovereign Host-Dark Six [two are in the Six].)
The attitude that Chaos is somehow stupider than Law when neither have anything to do with Intelligence or Wisdom.
How ethical (and indeed some ontological and epistemological) systems often consider Evil and Wisdom to be contradictory, yet they aren’t in D&D for some reason.
The axes are largely unrelated and there could be others.
The lack of similar mechanics for other characterization (e.g., introversion/extroversion).
I could go on.

Day 16 You're....
Part 1 of this week's Inktober "You're Dead to Me" idea, where I called for some Ryou and YamiBakura/TKB pairs. Today we are featuring @hostofthering Ryou, tagged by @ghostofthering.
