This is no one else’s safe space, but my own. Curate your own experience. Mutuals are welcomed to ask me, to tag something specifically for them. Do so privately, so you don’t expose yourself like that.

Proshipper: Bring back old fandom’s code of conducts. Ship & let ship. Strongly opposes any form of harassment of other users over fiction. You shouldn’t have to justify your interests to complete strangers online. Don't like? Don't interact with it. Pro is a prefix, it is not a shortening of the word problematic. Fiction affects us by instigating reactions & feelings upon us (we may feel horny, happy, sad, scared & so on), it should never tell you what to do (lest it likely is some form of propaganda). Fiction rarely ever reflects one’s set of morals and ethics.

I really dislike self-insert/x-reader type of content. Do NOT ping me in that stuff, do NOT tag/use my things to feed into anything in that line, DO NOT COMMENT ON MY SHIP ART WITH THINGS LIKE ‘oh I want to be X character rn’. It makes me DEEPLY uncomfortable, I don’t want to have anything to do with it. I’m not here to judge anyone, but it doesn’t mean I’d like to contribute/enable it in any shape or form.

I carry the energy of being very much against the use of AI in fandoms. There’s no such thing as “ethical” use of AI in fandom spaces, spare yourself from the trouble of trying to argue with me about it. Anything AI generated has no right to be in fandoms. Support and celebrate human content creators.

I don’t post GFM, E-begging, donation asks/reblogs. I have been far too long on the internet, and I have witnessed far too many instances of scams taking different forms. Instead, donate to legitimate reputable and functioning organisations. That can and will do a lot more with your money PCRF, MSF and Anera. Anything I receive of that nature will be reported as spam.

I find it funny that so many examples of “fiction affecting reality” is just the person did not recognize it as fiction. Like it happens so often.

“Look at the Slenderman Stabbings”

Those girls did not go “murder looks so cool in Slenderman let’s copy it”, they thought it was reality. They thought Slenderman was real and was gonna hurt them if they didn’t stab that girl. Because they had a mental illness

“Look at Randy Stair”

He did not go “I sure do love writing about killing, let’s kill people” he thought it was reality. He thought he was genuinely gonna be reborn in his little ghost girl fantasy. Because he had a mental illness.

“What about Scientology”

When I was in this age bracket, there was a huge emphasis on improving consent culture via graceful rejection, and it's gone by the wayside. Which sucks.

Twice in my youth (once in high school and once in college) I was in situations where I was asking someone out and I could tell they were calculating in their heads the risks of rejecting me, and both times I said, out loud, "you can say no, I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't prepared for either answer." And then they said no. This wasn't some spark of special wisdom I had - I knew to do it because feminist conversations among my age group brought it up regularly. This isn't happening nearly enough anymore.

More recently, I was really glad when we got to "rejection sensitive dysphoria" in my IOP program and it was one of those symptoms where the therapists really emphasized how it affects others. Because it does.

Being someone who cannot handle rejection makes you much more likely to violate boundaries, and yes, that includes sexual ones. Yes, you, reader who has never hurt a fly. If you don't want to stumble backwards into sexually assaulting someone, fix your RSD meltdowns. If you keep them up it's only a matter of time. Because if you're nice enough to interact with, but are known to have RSD meltdowns, guess what happens when your friends and acquaintances need to reject you?
