happy saturday friends. today was my first attempt at 18.2:
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 reps of:
dumbbell squats @ 2x 15 kg
i really love this workout. i can fucking front squat for days and i’m small which means burpees are pretty easy for me. i love cleans. i love heavy cleans so much, even though i chicken out sometimes when the weight gets heavy and forget how to get under the bar.
i made some slight errors in the first part; fucked up my round of 8 because i thought i still was on the round of 7, and didn’t go fast enough on the last round of burpees. still, i finished that in 8:07, which is currently the fastest female time in the gym, but i know i can knock a few seconds off that. i cleaned 61 easy and then couldn’t get 65 at all (do you ever just. hate yourself.) and i know it’s because i haven’t gone that heavy in a while and i also know it’s because i didn’t quite feel ready.
get under 8 min on the first component
take my time and warm up my cleans early
maybe try and hit 65+ in the warm up
take the first attempt at 61 again because i know i’ll be fatigued
trust myself. i know how to clean; i just have to trust that i can do it. don’t think so much
