cleo stratt is really fitting for me. i just really like taking the character associated with a form of death and making them the one in charge of saving the world at any cost. “i’m not betraying you i’m believing in you” could be a tragic moonrot dynamic……..gahhh….

and this works really well with my other idea of pearl’s dead crewmates being martyn and scott.. with cleo as stratt that makes that group the divorce quartet! pearl on earth is supposed to call upon scarlet pearl sooooo….. and like. neither of them are meant to be one to one to yao and ilyukhina theyre just Yep other astronauts. who had people they were willing to die for.

also itd make sense if the person pearl replaces was also a women here so thats lizzie 😭 jizzie as dubois and sharpio’s “inherently doomed but we’re still gonna be together as long as we can, and then we actually die together” is both kinda funny and fittingly tragic for them

kinda imagining a few ppl who could fit carl’s role but i’m currently fond of it being scar and him matching pearl’s energy well

I DONT KNOW ABOUT ADRIAN HONESTLY…. if anyone has an ideas hmu.. this doesn’t have to be the case but it’d make sense if it’s someone who’s name/appearance/nickname/etc could reasonably be something pearl could come up with that “matches” with gem. doesn’t necessarily have to be a popular gem ship but it could be. idk.

i know we don’t get any blip-a crew details in canon but i like the implication that a bunch of them were members of the empires season 1 cast… the idea of people gem knew who are have been dead and gone a Long time and were always doomed to be. Man. maaan.
