Merlin find her with the druids during the panic in Camelot

They keep each other’s secrets (even if she doesn’t know Merlin is Emrys just yet)

Arthur kicked Merlin’s magic book under the bed and says it’s all clear bcs he doesn’t want anyone to be executed bcs no one got hurt with the magic and it was just a bit of fun

Merlin: “We know Aredian set Gaius up and then he’s coming after us-”

Arthur: “Us? Us who?”

Merlin: “I can’t say bcs that’s not my secret to tell”

Arthur: “If you know another sorcerer-”

Merlin: “Then what? What, you’ll execute them?”

Arthur: “I- I mean, no, but-”

Merlin: “But what? If it doesn’t matter with me then why should it matter if anyone has magic?”

Morgana shows Merlin the bracelet Morgause gave her and he can feel the magic in it and lo and behold: she’s a sorceress too

Their mother, Lady Vivienne, was a sorceress and as was Morgause’s father that’s why Morgause was given to the High Priestess of the Old Religion but Uther thought that as Morgana had one non-magic parent, she would not develop abilities (he was wrong)

Merlin tells Arthur it was a lie to stop him killing his father but then reveals the truth once Arthur could not get to Uther and he also reasons that while it was Uther’s fault, no one was to blame as he didn’t know what’d happen (and was too headstrong to listen) and Nimue had no choice but to comply, on pain of death

It still hurt her bcs yk it’s poison so her telepathic pain was still a thing and Morgause came along and she took her after stopping the curse

Morgana knocks the guard out and wipes his recent memories but she’s still not the best at her magic so he was just injured so Morgause spells him from afar to kill him bcs Morgana is not a murder even if she does hate Uther

Morgause: “You should have killed the guard”

Morgana: “I will not be like Uther and kill anyone who irritates me - he was in my way but simply following orders”

Morgause kidnaps Merlin but Morgana asks her not to kill him - he might just be a servant but he’s well-liked and popular - people will notice

Morgana: “it may be wrong but what other beginning do we have other than the slaughter of our own people, our women and children? Innocents weren’t supposed to get hurt but that was Cenred’s army not ours - the skeletals were only supposed to attack knights fighting us”

Merlin uses magic to light a campfire in front of Morgana, Gwen and Arthur to which again there’s the whole wait you know stuff

Morgana: “and you’re okay with it? After everything Uther says about magic users?”

Arthur: “I know Merlin and he has a good heart even if he is an idiot. And the druid boy wasn’t evil either, he was just a child. Merlin’s shown me that magic isn’t evil but instead just a tool and it’s the person using it incorrectly that should be punished rather than magicfolk as a whole.”

Morgana: “so you disagree with the ban on magic?”

Arthur: “So what if people use magic to do their chores faster? They’re not hurting anyone. It would be like condemning every person who’s ever owned a sword bcs they might hurt someone.”

Morgana: “how long have you known?”

Arthur: “since Father tried to marry a troll”

Morgana: “and you never said anything to anyone?”

Arthur: “it’s not my secret to tell”

She goes back to their side and saves Arthur from Morgause’s fire but it blows back and knocks her over so she wants to make sure her sister’s okay but gets pulled to safety by Merlin

~ later ~

Merlin: “Why did you save Arthur? You could’ve let him die and left Camelot without an heir but you saved him; why?”

Morgana: “bcs he protects you. If he was protecting a knight, I still wouldn’t trust him but you’re just a servant and yet he protects your life and our secret. Arthur is a good man and I don’t want any bloodshed - if we can give our people peace again with Arthur, I will stand by him.”

Merlin: “thank you.”

Morgana: “this does not mean I stand by Uther -  I will still fight against his tyrannous ways every chance I get.”

Merlin: “I’d expect nothing less”

The Eye of the Phoenix

Morgause gives Arthur a bracelet while disguised as an old woman “for good luck on your journey” and Gwen sees her real face in a puddle

Tells Morgana about it and they, along with Gaius, look for some way to counter the spell (and thus Morgana reveals her magic to Gwen)

Merlin doth be a snitch but they believe Alice when she says she has no choice and they try and help her as best as they can (Arthur is a sweetheart to old people (no offence, Alice-))

Morgause tries to break Arthur’s heart and cause the rift between father and son by manipulating a young sorcerer into doing all the stuff that gets Gwen tried for magic

Dragoon and Arthur deal with stuffs but this time, he knows it’s his personal dumbass

Sir Leon is made immortal (by accident) by the druids who save him with the Cup of Life

When Morgause finds out Leon lives, she finds out about the Cup

Morgause rules with an iron fist and threatens to kill her and everyone else if Morgana doesn’t become queen and her mouthpiece bcs “you betrayed me sister so your life means nothing to me. Gwen tells everyone of how Morgana is just as much a prisoner as she was

Morgana uses magic to help fight Morgause but hurts her and despite everything “she’s my sister - I abandoned her once, I will not do it again. I will ensure her safety and ours in the process - rule well, brother” and she leaves with her sister using magic

Morgana becomes the High Priestess of the Triple Goddess

The Darkest Hour 1

Kara’s mother, Ealdgyð, was helping Morgause bcs Morgana was forced to leave her when she began attacking her, all faith in her younger sister lost

Morgana was back in Camelot but yk “I couldn’t kill her- she’s still my sister- I’m sorry”

Knowing how much Morgana hated him for the things he did still left Uther crippled, even upon her return

Ealdgyð opened the veil upon Morgause’s death and she, Merlin and Morgana all passed out and saw the vision

Emrys was Morgana’s destiny and Ealdgyð’s doom

Emyrs’ identity is protected from Ealdgyð (and later Kara) by the Triple Goddess bcs they may be followers of the Old Religion but they perverted the peaceful nature of druids and so lost that information which was most valuable to them

Agravaine, being loyal to Morgause, now reports to Ealdgyð and tells her about their plan

Merlin and Morgana both want to be sacrifices to the veil

Merlin: “it’s my destiny to protect Arthur”

Morgana: “but this was my sister’s doing and therefore it is my responsibility to undo”

The Darkest Hour 2

Morgana tries to heal Merlin from the Dorocha but is unable to

Morgana continues on the quest with the knights while Lancelot and Merlin go their own way

Agravain on Ealdgyð’s orders knocks out Gwen bcs she convinced the council to reduce rationing the lower towns

The Wicked Day

Merlin tries to save Uther for Arthur’s sake but Morgana refuses to try

Morgana (to Arthur): “I am sorry you’re losing your father but he literally massacred our people - I will not save him”

Uther still dies but they noticed the pendant and want to find and take Ealdgyð’s head but they don’t know who she is bcs she’s smart

Arthur: “Magic will one day live freely in Camelot once more but not today - it is easier to find one sorcerer among no others than one from hundreds and despite your hatred of the things he did, you must know what this person did was wrong”

Morgana: “find them and bring them to justice, not for practicing sorcery but for committing murder”

Arthur: “of course”

Morgana is all for Arthur being the king bcs she knows after everything with Morgause and Cenred, the people would never accept her as queen but at least this way, her people stood a chance

Aithusa

Arthur doesn’t plan on destroying the egg but doesn’t really care what happens to it so long as Broden is captured

Morgana goes with the knights as magic is her lineage too and they will keep her secret

Merlin tells them of the Druids warnings about the trap bcs knight squad knows the magic squad secret (that they’re ✨magic✨)

He and Morgana witness the birth of Aithusa who immediately takes a liking to Morgana

Gwen avoids the sorceress smartly bcs she has brain cells

Morgana: “Do you think I’m happy about all this? I’ve been planning their wedding for years - who wouldn’t want their closest friend to become their sister?”

Arthur calls off the hunt when Merlin tells him the deer is really Gwen but he and Mithian can’t be gone long so he and Morgana help after dark, Merlin being a physician and helping her wounds and Morgana turning her human again

She spills the beans and reveals the sorceress’ name as Ealdgyð and that Agravaine is definitely in league but they had to proof and couldn’t just accuse the king’s uncle especially given that they’re only a servant and an exile

The Sword in the Stone 1

Ealdgyð and Helios attack Camelot on Beltaine

Morgana is captured

Ealdgyð (to Morgana): “You betrayed our people”

Morgana is made to starve “like so many of our own have bcs of your precious family”

Morgana and Aithusa stay with Gwen to help protect the castle bcs “the knights already have a sorcerer - if something happens here, Gods forbid it, you will need someone”

Merlin tells Arthur of the seer’s vision to which he reminds the young warlock that Morgana was supposed to also be their fate and yet she was saved and so will the boy be

The group is captured by Ealdgyð and here we meet Mordred

Arthur’s Bane 2

Mordred tries to get food to Merlin and Arthur but cannot ‘sorry, Emrys’

‘I said I would not forget what you did for me and I meant it’ and so Mordred tells him about the Diamair

They fight the Saxons with Mordred secretly helping them escape

Merlin: ‘thank you Mordred’

Mordred: ‘just returning the favour’

Merlin is attacked by a druid Saxon who he knocks out

Arthur: “We want to help you, Ealdgyð, but when you attack and enslave our people, it doesn’t exactly give us much confidence in you.”

Ealdgyð: “Liar! You force Morgana to hide away and to forget who she truly is-”

Arthur: “Actually she’s at the castle protecting everyone bcs we know that magic isn’t evil but your hatred, Ealdgyð, has made you evil.”

Ealdgyð: “If you are so good and kind, why do you not lift the ban on our people?”

Arthur: “Finding one sorcerer, you, amongst few is much easier than finding you amongst countless others. We have not persecuted any magic users since my coronation - the law is just there in name and once you are gone, it will be removed once and for all.”

Ealdgyð: “So you think killing me will make our people love you?”

Arthur: “I don’t want their love, only their forgiveness but you killed the king and that is high treason, regardless of magic.”

Mordred stabs Ealdgyð when he hears their conversation bcs o hey she’s nuts and yk he’s not evil :)

~ later ~

Merlin: “Actually, Arthur, Gwen and some of the knights know I have magic.”

Mordred: “When did he know?”

Merlin: “A couple of months after you and I first met. It’s actually quite a funny story-”

Arthur: “Merlin, shut up-”

Merlin: ‘I’ll tell you later.’

Mordred calls Merlin Emrys around Morgana and she’s like eh?? and he’s like yeah, druids call him Emrys and she remembers the prophecy but keeps her mouth shut bcs ‘wtf? My destiny?? lol no’

The Death Song of Uther Pendragon

Morgana does not join the pair even tho she was his ward bcs Uther was Uther ew

Arthur: “If something goes wrong, you can help, right?”

Merlin: “Maybe. But magic involving the dead isn’t something I typically deal with.”

Arthur: “he’s a sorcerer - he has an inbuilt defence system regardless of whether he has his sword. He’ll be fine - and honestly, Merlin, you’re not his wetnurse or his mother.”

Merlin: “prat-”

Arthur: “what was that?”

Merlin: “I called you a prat, my lord”

Arthur: “I will not bow to the Triple Goddess for I do not follow her. But please, my friend is a sorcerer, a druid and a follower of the Old Religion. He is innocent. Spare him, please.”

Mordred is spared bcs they were impressed Arthur would risk their wrath but bcs he didn’t bow to them, his fate is still sealed

The Dark Tower

Ealdgyð kidnaps Gwen

Merlin, Mordred and Morgana do cooperative magic to try and find Gwen but to no avail

So they all go to the Dark Tower together f is for friends who do stuff together, u is you and me-

They use magic and swords to hack at the overgrowth but again, to no avail

He tells them all of Queen Mab and leads the way

Morgana saves the falling Merlin from impaling himself on the sword

Ealdgyð: “My sweet child, you know Camelot is doomed if Arthur and Morgana are to rule. Arthur longs for the old ways and the security of his father while Morgana wants a magical revolution. They will tear the city apart in their wars and countless will die.”

Gwen: No, no, that’s wrong- you’re lying-”

Ealdgyð: “And yet you know I am right bcs if Arthur was not still waging his war against magic, I would be safely with my daughter but instead she is made parentless by the Pendragons and if Arthur is to continue having his way, my daughter will be made an orphan.”

A Lesson in Vengeance

Merlin uses magic subtly to save Arthur so Gwen doesn’t notice

The knights arrest Merlin for sorcery even tho they know he wouldn’t do it bcs who else could have

He still doesn’t tell Arthur about Gwen’s brainwashing bcs to accuse the Queen is a serious accusation

The Hollow Queen

Gaius tells Arthur the truth about Merlin going to save the young girl in the Valley of The Fallen Kings instead of the usual tavern business

(flashback) Sarrum took Kara hostage and forced Ealdgyð to comply for her sake and they were kept separately for the two years, only getting to see each other for mere moments

Merlin reveals to Daegal that Arthur knows of his magic and one day, magic will be commonplace in Camelot once more

Morgana agrees with Arthur that Merlin hasn’t got a girlfriend but Gwen teases her and asks if she’s jealous

Morgana: “of course not- in fact, I’m happy for him” but yk she’s lowkey jelly

With All My Heart

The Triple Goddess responds best to women so he (disguised as the Dolma (who is a pretty young lady might I add), not that it mattered bcs he’s is a he/she/they enby and I stand by that) and Morgana summoned the Triple Goddess (thank fuck that Morgana is Her High Priestess)

Morgana, Merlin, Mordred (having saved them mid-journey and then joined them), Aithusa and Arthur take Gwen to the Cauldron of Arianrhod

Mordred stays behind to try and cover their tracks, physically and magically, but is caught by Kara

Kara: “why do you stand behind someone who kills our people?”

Mordred: “Arthur has never killed any of us-”

Kara: “he stands by the law that put me and my mother through two years of hell! He is evil and if you cannot see that, you are not the Mordred I once knew and loved.”

Mordred: “Kara, please-”

Kara: “no-”

Mordred: “Kara, he knows! He knows about my gifts and he has not once even scorned for using them. The ban on magic is only up because we need to stop Ealdgyð from killing everyone-”

Kara: “why do you immediately forsake my mother? She is the only reason I am still alive, no thanks to you. The Pendragons are the reasons why we have been running for our lives our entire lives. And they are the reason why countless more children will never reach their truest potential and will never know who they truly are. Yet you still blame my mother who has done nothing but protect our people-!”

Mordred: “Your mother was going to kill everyone in Camelot just to spite Morgana! I still believe in the cause, Kara, but I do not believe in her and her ways!”

Kara: “We are druids and magic is our birthright!”

Mordred: “And druids are a peaceful people but Ealdgyð? She perverted our ways and has used the darkest magics, hurt countless people and all bcs she wants the throne. I will not join her so please, for the love of the Gods, don’t make me fight you Kara.”

Kara: “Tell us, tell me, who Emrys is and we won’t have to.”

Mordred: “Never.” *knocks her out w/ magic* “Forgive me, my love.”

The Kindness of Strangers

Ealdgyð thinks Alator a traitor for supporting the mighty Emrys who refuses to help their people in their time of need and so the torture begins

Merlin still doesn’t tell Arthur about the Alator-and-Finna-of-the-Catha situation bcs he’s busy yk and so tells Morgana and Mordred bcs it’s magic stuff so it’s their business too

He and Morgana go to find Finna

Merlin still attacked but Morgana stays with Finna and fights Ealdgyð and Finna is saved and on their side (bcs she is a Bendrui and they stand by Emrys, always)

The Drawing of the Dark

Mordred tells them it was Kara not some deer but still let her go

Arthur and Mordred patrol together (bcs they’re knights) w/ Merlin (bcs he’s Arthur’s) and find Kara and Mordred is shooketh at how bloodthirsty Kara has become

She is much confused when Merlin deflect the knife magically and he uses magic to bind her in front of them and no one bats an eye bcs she fr thought Mordred was bullshitting about Arthur being chill with it

She tries to kill Arthur again and does not take the chances he kept giving her for Mordred’s sake

Kara: “why do you continue trying to help me? You, who puts our kind through hell everyday.”

Arthur: “I want to make things better for all our peoples including you and yours but that cannot happen while your mother continues to attack, plague and kill our people, innocent people.”

Kara: “you’re lying - my mother would never hurt innocents”

Mordred: “we can show you”

Kara: “how?”

Mordred: “we were at the battle - you know the memory retrieval spell?”

Kara: “of course”

Kara: “that can’t be right- this must be some trick-”

She comes back to the light

Magic squad is weirdly big considering the laws at this point but Camelot needs all the help they can get

Ealdgyð realises Merlin has magic bcs of the miraculous things that happen around Arthur and yk it’s too much to be just some coincidence plus she was keeping an eye on her daughter and saw Merlin deflect the knife and he is what keeps the magic squad together and she can only use the Gean Canach very few times bcs ‘tis rare

The Diamond of the Day 1

Merlin tells the knight squad and magic squad about his loss of powers and that he’s gonna go get them back somehow

Kara snitches that Eira is a spy for Ealdgyð and she gets dungeon time

Merlin, Gwaine and Finna go to the Valley of the Fallen Kings while Mordred, Kara and Morgana stay behind and protect Queen and kingdom

Ealdgyð knows Merlin will go the Crystal Cave to regain his powers

Gwaine stands guard at the cave mouth while Finna and Merlin go in but Finna has to stop and stay with Gwaine after a moment

Merlin: “this is a journey I must make on my own”

Gwaine: “could’ve told us that before we came out into the woods with you”

Merlin: “you’d have come with me anyways”

Gwaine: “yeah, you’re probably right”

Ealdgyð leaves after Gwaine sleeps with invisibility and silencing spells on to mask herself from Finna (who’s on watch at that point)

Merlin comes along looking like himself instead of Dragoon bcs there was no time to waste on disguises

The magic squad are beating Ealdgyð bcs yk there’s: Emrys, the High Priestess of the Triple Goddess, a Bendrui priestess and two highly skilled druids against Saesons

Merlin beats Ealdgyð and before she dies, Kara and Mordred get to say goodbye

Ealdgyð: “I’m sorry it came to this- all I ever wanted was a better life for you both and instead I dragged you into a war”

Kara: “we understand and we’re sorry too - we should’ve at least tried peace”

Ealdgyð: “that’s my fault”

Mordred: “and it’s our too. We could have insisted on it but we just blindly followed instead of talking to you”

Ealdgyð: “I’m so sorry my boy”

Kara: “rest easy, mother. Magic is returning to Camelot and we will be free once more”

Mordred: “goodbye Ealdgyð”

George and Gloria go and take Patricia from the neighbours, calling themselves Adrian’s uncle and aunt and saying that they were there to grab her - the shitty neighbours honestly felt better giving the three year old to a pair of strangers than her own father

Adrian sees them with her and chases them for as long as he can but he’s running and they’re in a car

He gets home and writes down their licence plate and car type bcs I hc that he’s got a good memory

Then he sketches their portraits so he can remember what the fuckers looked like bcs another hc, he loved drawing and it kept him going through prison bcs idek how long he was there but it still sucked ass

He takes a plane to South Carolina bcs SoCar plates

He finds them after two years (2014) and pulls a gun on them bcs he lost 2 years with his baby girl bcs of those fucks but he’s one guy in the middle of a country he barely knows so he’s kinda screwed

He ends up begging to stay with them - he’ll cook, clean, do whatever but he just needs to be his baby girl

So they let him and he is also usually chained up in basement but he’s got nicer clothes bcs he has to actually go upstairs (plus his chain is longer; Gloria made George make it long enough so that he could reach Patricia when she has nightmares bcs they don’t wanna hear her cry, it’s annoying apparently)

He’s not allowed to be in the main part of the house when George and Gloria aren’t there to supervise bcs he could try to escape and if he escapes, they kill Patricia so he knows not to try that

It’s been 5 years since Adrian’s been stuck there but he gets to be with his daughter so he can’t complain too much bcs at least she’s alive

Then along came Mickey and Jules and he hears two sets of footsteps but it’s not familiar and then they can hear crashing so it’s definitely not George and Gloria

He tells Patricia to keep quiet bcs if George finds them with the intruders, they’re dead

M+J find A+P and try to help them escape only for Adrian to say “it’s no use - leave while you still can, please” bcs it’s not like he hadn’t tried to undo the chains but to no avail

He tried to tell them about the keys being in George’s room (bcs in this ver there’s no way he’d keep the keys any place A can get to them)

M+J are kept separately and Adrian knows the shite Mickey’s going through unfortunately (i’m sorry for giving you more ptsd, buddy)

Adrian is kept in the basement while M+J are there bcs no way is he going to be allowed anywhere near the key

Adrian explains the situation to Jules quietly and swap trauma stories

He can’t help Jules but he fixes the bandage on Mickey’s leg and says he’s sorry for Gloria, he knows how that is

After Patricia tells them about the laundry shoot, he tells her that it ends up in Ethan’s room and Ethan’s a creepy doll not a child so get out asap and call for help

She escapes and meanwhile M+A are tortured slightly to tell George what’s going on (Adrian: luk dine øjne, kæreste (close your eyes, sweetheart)) and Mickey escapes

Meanwhile Jules ran up the road and kept running

Meanwhile Adrian can hear G+G talk about killing them bcs if they escape and snitch everyone’s screwed

So they make Adrian OD a little (‘no one’ll question a foreign ex-con ODing’) except Officer Wells came over so he ends up in the gym alone

He finds their coke and he feels sick bcs he remembers the old man but then remembers his daughter and knows he has to do something so he takes the shit and pretends to escape by doing the shoe-toss-and-hide thing

Jules called the cops and Officer Wells knew something was sketchy so they go on their way to the house with more than a couple of officers considering it’s a multiple hostage situation

He grabbed the keys while G+G were in the woods and frees Patricia and they grab the car and go bcs he already knew where the garage door clicker was and they gun it, pun intended, and get shot at but he just gets nicked on the shoulder

They meet up with M+J and G+G get arrested after the cops see the state of A+P plus when they find the recording of the other couples they killed

M+J go to prison for 3 months and get it reduced to 2 for good behaviour

A+P write them letters almost everyday (but they don’t send them all) and somewhere along the line, they realise they’d fallen in love bcs you don’t go through what they did together and not form some kind of bond

He’s running and he can’t stop. Twigs snap under foot as he tries to push past the foliage but he can still hear it, the growling. The thumping of the wolf’s paws gets louder and louder and it’s then he realises he is now the wolf. He runs and fast as he might be, he can’t shake them. They’re yelling and calling for his head and he whines and spurs himself to go faster. But all of a sudden, he’s himself again, human, and he trips over a branch. He falls heavily on his side and sees them not meters away from him. He hears his breath quicken and it’s like he’s not in his body anymore but simply forced to watch. He tries to stand but Monroe kicks his legs from under him. He watches as he scrambles frantically away from the mob.

“You can’t escape us, Nolan. We’re your people - not some overpowered mongrels.” She aims her crossbow at his face. “You betrayed us, Nolan. You let Gabe die.” Try as he might no words come out but he’s yelling and screaming- but he’s not in control. Even in his own mind, he’s not in control. “If you ever see him again, be sure to say sorry, hmm?” She squeezes the trigger and the arrow flies towards him. He screws his eyes shut-

-and wakes with a start. He jumps back, his chair scuffing the library floor loudly as his chest heaves. Temporary disorientation fades and he notices Brett sat on the table, speaking to him.

He cuts him off. “Why are you here?” “Lacrosse practise with Liam. Hey, are you okay?” His eyes are wide with concern and it confuses Nolan. Why should he give a flying fuck about him? It was his people who tried to kill him after all. He snaps out of it and sends a quick smile at him. “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine. Just- homework, y’know?”

Brett frowns and slowly lifts his hand, Nolan watching nervously. Brett leans forward and gently wipes his face, the younger boy flinching but allowing him to continue. Brett shows him his hand and it’s wet- and he’s surprised. “Nolan, I know you don’t sleep well but you were crying.” He’s responded with silence, the pair the only two left in the school. “Are you okay?” He repeats himself, placing his hand on his shoulder comfortingly. “Why do you care?” He roughly shoves his hand off and stands up, pacing restlessly. “Hey-”

“No! No, do not pretend that you give half a shit about me. Stop! That’s all anyone does - they pretend and they lie.” He laces his fingers behind his head, his jaw tensing. “We killed your people. My people tried to kill you and your sister. Why would you-” Enough is enough. Brett walks up to him, Nolan’s arms dropping to his sides as he backs up, stopping when his back hits the bookshelf.

“Look at me- look at me, Nolan.” He tilts the boy’s head towards him, his eyes wide in…. fear? “They are not your people. You saw something that didn’t make sense and they explained it to you in all the wrong ways - that isn’t your fault. If it wasn’t for you, we would never have been able to take back the hospital.” He shakes his head frantically. “That- that was Liam, not me. Me? I tried to expose you all; I stabbed Corey and I beat Liam with-” He cuts himself off and freezes, tears welling in his eyes. “With Gabe?” A large tear rolls down his face, his lip wobbling as he takes a deep breath and nods. “You were dating?” Another nod. A small smile creeps onto his face as he chuckles bitterly. “He was actually the one who got me to try out for lacrosse. He was so proud when I got on the team. ‘First trans kid on the team!’ He-“ He sucks his breath in sharply, shaking his head. “But he was wrong- we were wrong-”

“It was the Anuk-ite – you were a couple of scared teens and it manipulated you. It turned everyone’s fear against them; Deaton even said it probably caused the old witch trials in England.” Tears were now freely streaming down Nolan’s face as he reminisced. “Look at me.” Brett holds his face in his hands. “You are not to blame. And they are not your people; they never were.” His heart shatters at the sight of the poor boy. He looked so broken. “We’re kids. If we do something wrong because we were manipulated into it by adults, it is on them, not us. You and Gabe were not to blame-“ “But-“ “No buts, you did some shitty things but that’s life. People fuck up; when it happens, we deal with it and move on. Liam doesn’t hold any grudges, does he?” Nolan looks down, shaking his head. “Exactly. And with the whole beating him up thing: he’s a werewolf, dude. If you managed it, it was because he let you.” He pushes Brett’s hands away, sinking to the floor. He hugs his knees, Brett joining him on the ground, crossing his legs.

“You know he saved my life? Monroe thought I was dead weight and was gonna cut me loose so he- he shot up the McCall house and told her it was me so she wouldn’t kill me. He saved me and if I had just been a second quicker, I could’ve saved him. But I didn’t and he died. It’s my fault.” “You couldn’t have done anything and Monroe was the one who called the shot. She’s to blame, not you.” “If I hadn’t seen her in the first place, if I’d have just gone to Scott instead of her maybe-” Brett growls under his breath. “Look at me - you haven’t looked me in the eye since I got here.” Reluctantly, Nolan lifts his head up. “Monroe is dead - Derek and Braeden made sure of it. The hunters are gonna fall apart sooner or later. She can’t come back and if anyone tries to hurt you or turn you against us, we have your back. Okay? We’re your people, not them and whenever you need us, we’ll be there.” He pauses, gnawing on his lower lip. “Whenever you need me, I’ll be there.” He puts a hand on the shaking boy’s knee, relieved when he grips it tight.

Devenford Prep Magpies vs Beacon Hills Cyclones

It’s almost the fourth quarter and things are getting tense. The score is 8-7 to Devenford. There had already been multiple arguments between the rival team captains and the ref was really close to sending them both off for fighting.

Liam Dunbar growls low, promptly getting elbowed by his co-captain, Nolan Holloway. His eyes glow gold as he hears Brett Talbot, captain of the Devenford Prep Magpies, chuckle under his breath.

“We’re gonna kick their asses - but if you get sent off, we’re gonna get our asses handed to us.” Nolan fixes his helmet, putting his drink down. “Next quarter’s ours. Yeah?” He looks him in the eye. “So maybe quit hounding him-” “If you don’t quit it with the dog jokes, I’m gonna bite you-!” Liam playfully half-tackles the human, ignoring his complaints. “Heel-” “Asshole-” He laughs and pulls the taller teen up to his feet.

And just in time. The teams move out to the field, Liam and Brett facing each other in the middle. A smirk plastered on his face as usual, Brett leans down, watching in amusement as Liam calms himself down with the mantra.

“The sun, the moon-” “The truth.” He finishes. Liam looks up at him in surprise. “Cooling down’s a smart idea - still gonna kick your ass though.” “We’ll see, Talbot.”

The referee blows the whistles and the fourth quarter begins. To Brett’s surprise, Liam swiftly takes the ball, easily dodging him and making his way to their goal. He tosses the ball to Nolan who runs forward, through the wing area and into the attack. Deftly dodging a Devenford player, he tosses back to a moving Liam who shoots. The crowd goes silent as the ball soars through the air, collectively holding a breath till- he scored! The Beacon Hills fans leap from their seats and whoop, the team patting him on the back as they move back to their positions, Liam meeting Brett in the middle again.

“8-8.” He huffs out a short laugh as Brett cracks his neck. “And it’s gonna be 9-8 to the Magpies soon.” “Really-?”

He’s cut off by a yell from Coach Finstock. “Either kiss or get on with the damn game, Dunbar!”

Said boy blushes brightly at the comment, getting into position. Brett winks at him, the ref blowing the whistle. He quickly goes for the ball. Liam, temporarily baffled, snaps out of his stupor and takes the ball a moment before the other wolf can. He body checks him, quickly escaping him before barreling his way up the field, easily sidestepping a defender and sending the ball into the back of the Devenford goal. The crowd erupts into cheers, the team congratulating Liam.

The ref blows his whistle, signaling the end of the game. 11-9 to the Beacon Hills Cyclones. The crowd flooded from the stands to the fields.

Mason and Corey meet Liam, his helmet in hand. He shakes his head, sweat flying off of him. “Gross- but, dude, you killed it out there!” Mason shouts over the roar of the crowd, forgetting that Liam can hear him regardless. He winces, Mason cringing lightly before apologising, Corey laughing at the pair. “If Scott could see you now-” Corey pats his shoulder and grins widely. Mason looks behind them, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “Who you looking for?” Liam looks at him in surprise. “Huh- who, me? Nothing- no one.” He looks into the crowd again before turning back to them. “I gotta go- I’ll see you later.” He runs into the crowd, leaving a bewildered Mason and Corey behind him. “So what do you think all that was about?” Corey looks at his boyfriend who shrugs and tilts his head. “No damn clue.” They link hands and leave the field.

Liam escapes the crowd, running straight for the locker room and changing out of his gear. He leaves, going back outside and inhaling deeply, countless scents invading his senses. He ignores them, focusing on the one. There. He follows the scent, moving from the field, around the school and there he is. Brett fuckin’ Talbot.

He leans against the wall next to the school entrance and he looks hot. He’s in sweatpants and an old tee and he looks hot. Liam kinda wants to punch him in the face a little. “Good game.” He looks up, tucking his phone into his pocket, a small smile on his face as Liam slowly walks to him, leaning against the wall next to him. “Uh, yeah, you too.” He nods a little, Brett laughing quietly. “We still lost though.” “Yeah, yeah, you did.” Liam grins victoriously, Brett smiling widely despite having lost.

They stay there for a moment in comfortable silence before Brett tilts his head and mumbles a curse. “Fuck it-”

He turns to the boy next and leans down, holding his face in his hands and pressing a short kiss to his lips. He pulls away after a few seconds and looks at the boy, seemingly frozen in shock. “Liam…?” He wraps his arms around his neck and pulls him down, sealing the gap between their lips. Brett fumbles with hands before settling them on his hips. He melts a little. It was strange; his lips were softer than he’d imagined. Would he ever admit that he’d imagined kissing Liam Dunbar? Never.

And then things change. Liam’s hands are fisted in his hair and pulling lightly and he’s groaning against his mouth and- holy fuck- Brett gasps and pulls away to breath, Liam taking a shuddery breath.

“That- that was not how I expected that to go-” Liam’s eyes widen in guilt. “Did I fuck this up-? Shit-” “Wha- no. No, definitely not.” Brett breathes heavily and leans his forehead against his, a small smile on Liam’s face as he closes his eyes. Brett looks at him, smiling widely. Liam opens his eyes and looks up at him and- oh, God- He stares into his eyes and it’s like the breath’s been knocked out of him.

He leans down and kisses him hungrily, a small squeak of surprise escaping Liam before he relaxes and kisses back just as fervently. Brett groans loudly as he pulls his hair hard, Liam slipping his tongue into his mouth. He relaxes and lets him do as pleases, gripping Liam’s hips firmly.

“What- the hell-?” Scott stands in front of them, Mason, Corey and Kira standing behind him, all equally shocked. Liam scrambles out from between Brett and the wall and stands up straight. “Scott-! Hey, thought you were working tonight?” “I wanted to surprise you after your game-” Mason waves his hand in the air impatiently, cutting off the alpha. “I’m sorry- just, dude- what?” He motions to the pair, the boys looking between themselves. “Bi-pan solidarity?” Brett suggests, Liam nodding awkwardly. “Uh, yeah, that. What he said.” “God-” Mason pulls Liam by the shoulder.

“It was- nice, I guess, to see you. There’s a pack thing- do we gotta-?” “We gotta go.” Scott nods and steers Liam from the scene by the shoulders. “We gotta go.” Corey repeats, the group leaving the scene, Kira subtly giving Brett a high five.

“When were you gonna tell us you were dating Brett frickin’ Talbot?” Corey whisper-yells. “I’m not-” “Oh, come on- you were swapping spit like 10 seconds ago-” Liam turns bright red, making Scott and Kira laugh loudly.

Malia Tate - 26

our girl went to France as promised and hooked up with plenty of hot French people *le eyebrow wiggle* she found her beau there in France and it was not a love at first sight sort of thing - she wanted to punch them in the face,, in their very pretty face- she was basically doing her own thing when she smells them, another bloody werewolf and like don’t get me wrong, she’s fond of werewolves, but bloody hell do they cause trouble. and they smell her too and it’s like ‘eh-?’ bcs werecoyotes aren’t so common as werewolves. and they’re just there in a club in Bordeaux and they’re sniffed each other out and they kinda just pause like huh- bcs they were were not expecting to see someone that pretty- but that’s not the point of course- they pretend to leave together and as soon as they’re out of sight from humans, they start fighting in an alley, as you do. it ends up with the wolf tasting the wall bcs who the hell are you- once they figure out they’re both just there to party, things chill and they see more of each other, naturally, it’s all just a big coincidence and doesn’t mean anything. and then they’re dancing and it doesn’t mean anything. and then they’re sleeping together and it doesn’t mean anything. except it does. and they don’t know when it became normal to cuddle or wake up together or have breakfast together but it just was. and when the cute werewolf (who I still don’t have a name for-) plans on moving to the next place, she comes with. the pack are happy for her and they usually road trip from place to place so when the pack comes to visit in Prague? it’s fun to say the least

Kira Yukimura - age 25

she came back from the Skinwalkers in 2019 and she and Allison became good friends. she kept going with school from home and is dating Scott. her powers are strong and when she sneezes bcs yk pollen or wtv, there’s sparks and it’s hilarious and Scott finds it adorable. she doesn’t really know what she wants to do yet and that’s cool of her

Erica Reyes - age 25

they thought she was dead- think again bitch, she slowed her heart rate down so they couldn’t hear and everyone thought she was dead - when the alpha pack got rid of her body and Allison found it, she told her to tell the others to pretend she was dead bcs of the Alpha pack - they beat the Alpha pack but she and Boyd hid with Satomi’s pack while that went down and helped generally after. she kept going with school and bcs she dipped for a while, ended in Liam’s year and eventually became a nurse in 2017. she works with Melissa McCall and joins for family dinner a lot.

Isaac Lahey - age 25

went to France with Chris Argent but kept going with his studies at Chris’ insistence. was dating dating Scott before he had to leave with Chris but they didn’t actually break up,, it was more ‘i’ll miss you :(’. came back to Beacon Hills when Chris came to help with the deadpool business and stayed bcs of Allison and Scott 💞 his studies were mostly uninterrupted and he studied law, becoming a lawyer in 2020!! so at least one good thing came of this infernal year- he wants to specialise in family law.

Vernon Boyd III - age 26

yea no, Derek didn’t mercy kill him bcs he was fine :) de nile ain’t just a river lads he went into hiding with Satomi’s pack and came back when the Alpha pack was dealt with. went back to school and ended up in Liam’s year. he joined the air force when he was 18 and finished his rotc training stuff in 2018 and it’s pretty alright - he’s a pilot but was discharged in 2019 bcs someone started with him and bcs they were a superior, he couldn’t say shit. so now he likes to wear ‘fuck the army’ and ‘fuck the air force’ shirt. he has mad respect for the people out there but the people in charge? fuck em

Aiden Steiner - age 27

he lives bitches 😎 Ethan had a silver chain on so he plugged the wound with it - it counteracted the oni poison and the chain started melting into the would (he had mild silver poisoning but he was fine). school was normal and now he’s an engineer, living in Beacon Hills. he and Ethan left for London for a while bcs that town was crazy af. while Ethan was very happy there, he missed home so went back. he got an online ordination and learnt Japanese bcs why not

Ethan Steiner-Whittemore - age 27

got married!! whoo 🎉🎉 Aiden officiated (this is 2018 btw) and it was cute. the whole pack was there and the wedding was in London bcs as quaint as Beacon Hills is

ah yes, the absolute nightmare bi enby returns. (i hc him with he/they pronouns ✌🏽 as you do) so he successfully gained Scott’s trust and is part of the pack - yay! he and Allison have a sort of ‘you’re a bitch’ ‘no u’ *saves each others lives* relationship at this point - it took a while for Allison to warm up to him but he did save Liam’s butt several times so,, anywho, he’s still a werewolf-werecoyote chimera and he’s cool with it. he went to an online school and got his high school diploma - Liam then snuck him into the school and he signed the bookshelf bcs yea he didn’t graduate there but he did go there and now he’s graduated so yay. speaking of, he and Liam are dating, yea ik we been knew. they started dating in 2014 and Theo now works waiting tables at a local restaurants bcs he lives with Liam and his parents (you best bet that when they found out he was living in his car, they made him move in so he pays rent, not at their request but his). that was till 2017 and they moved out into an apartment together. Theo chips in on rent but it usually ends up being split 60:40 (Liam: Theo) so he cooks and cleans a lot,,, mainly bcs Liam can’t cook and does laundry like a maniac-

Liam Dunbar - age 24

this werepup is just as chaotic as always - he cannot be trusted with laundry bcs he doesn’t split colours from whites :) honestly it makes me wanna cry a lil bcs he can’t even fry eggs either- he has Theo to cook for him tho so that’s all good. he’s a history tutor for the high school students bcs he likes history and he knows the pain of high school- *shudder* he got an online Spanish and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) degree and is now teaching at Beacon Hills High but yk his first year teaching is all online bcs 2020-

Mason Hewitt - age 23

he’s Emissary to the pack when they don’t have Deaton *wipes tear* he’s all grown up- he went to UCLA and majored in biophysics and minored in LGBTQ studies (graduated 2017). he lived on campus (kept the bat next to his bed lmao) and videochatted with Liam almost everyday - he would visit almost every weekend even tho it’s a 6 and half drive but hey. he got an apartment near the uni where he and Corey lived after he graduated. they’ve been engaged since 2018 (it was actually the day after the Steiner-Whittemore wedding). he’s helping work on a new drug delivery system and they moved closer to Beacon Hills (Sacramento)

Corey Bryant - age 24

he also went UCLA, studying comparative literature and LGBTQ studies, and lived on campus (for 3 years before moving in with Mason in 2017) before graduating in 2018. they’re engaged and moved to Sacramento. he’s writing a novel that will thankfully have nothing to do with their confusing ass lives

Cora Hale - age 28

lesbian queen *bows* still part of her pack in Ecuador, South America - she’s got a lady lover who I call Rosa (affectionately nicknamed Rosalita). they met when she first got there age 12 (Rosa being 13 at the time). Rosa taught her Spanish  and made her feel like part of the pack - after all the Alpha pack stuff, when she went back with Derek and Peter, she didn’t realise how much she’d missed them- how much she’d missed her. Derek asks if that’s her girlfriend and she’s like ‘wha- o.o’ and Rosa just goes ‘yup - nice to finally meet you guys’. she still visits DC to see Derek and Beacon Hills to see Erica and Isaac. even tho she lives in a different continent, Peter still looks out for her, sending anonymous donations in Talia’s name to the areas surrounding her pack’s territory

Brett Talbot - 24

*singsongs* ~he did not die~ the car swerved out of the way and the pack took him to Deaton who burnt the poison out of him (it was a long and painful process but he’s fine y’all). he’s the new lacrosse coach at Devenford Prep and he and Liam have a (mostly) friendly rivalry :) he’s a single pringle not bcs of lack of dates but just bcs he hasn’t found the one yet

Lorilee Rohr - age 22

also did not die :) she finished high school (2015) and went on to studying at UC Berkeley (art practice and theatre and performance studies, major and minor), graduating in 2018. she and Brett moved once he reached age 18. she makes and sells art from home

Nolan Holloway - age 25

after proving himself, same as Theo, he was eventually accepted into the pack. he and Gabe were dating and that’s that so he did mourn him for a long while. he works with hunters on the dl, trying to stop them hunting the supernaturals - he’s flipped 23 away from the dark side by 2020. he and Liam are friends which took a while but Nolan has his back (like there was that one time someone from the lacrosse team said they weren’t gonna ‘follow some mongrel’ so he reminded them that Liam was co-captain and if they didn’t wanna follow him, they could kindly fuck off :)) he’s a simp and has a raging crush on Brett like me too bruh
