This may be controversial but personally existing as a queer poc in white queer spaces is so exhausting sometimes considering the majority of white queer people live in a space of privilege that they do not want to acknowledge having out of fear of it invalidating their homophobic experiences.
Speaking from experience having queer friends who were predominantly white in my life. The amount of racism that I subtly experienced and didn't notice at the time was insane.
Just because you are queer as a white person does not mean you don't have privilege.
