J/k. You can't cancel Christmas. But my markets certainly are. Due to the new measures enacted yesterday and some discrepancy between the city and the province about what constitutes as "retail," my market that was scheduled for today and the one next Sunday have both been cancelled. I still have two more scheduled for December, but I suspect they will be cancelled as well. On the one hand, I'm disappointed because I was really hoping that the calendar (and the new half-sized calendar) and the brand new wrapping paper would sell well and redeem this year of slow business. On the other hand, however, I am glad to not have to go out and can stop encouraging others to go out as well. While art and beauty and laughter are essential to our well-being, my goods aren't a reason to put yourself or others at risk. I'm still really struggling to get a handle on this new #gouache paint.
