I made the flat colours saturated, because I was going for a vibrant look (in reality, almost all of these colours were changed during the process)

࣪ ִֶָ☾. Shadows:
Shadows were purely based on the reference image. As you can see, the hair and tail segments had really saturated shadows at first. You'll eventually see why was it changed.

࣪ ִֶָ☾. Rendering method breakdown:
Rendering is the thing that took a lot of time to figure out. Lastly I went for a soft look and a lot of texture (some examples of texture brushes I've used may be seen in the bottom left corner). Credits to all brush creators.

࣪ ִֶָ☾. Small addition to the face render:
After finishing nose, eyelashes and head pearls render, I decided to add middle tone under the snout and nose to add some depth in the face and seperate head segment from neck segment. I also decided to add a small yellow part under the pearls to make it seem like it's reflecting light from them (the singular empty particles between pearls or between nose and snout are gonna be filled later on, so don't worry).

࣪ ִֶָ☾. Full head part and hair malfuctions:
Finally full head part done! But after finishing the hair section, a problem started. You probably remember when I said I'm going for a "vibrant look". Well, as the process progressed, I realized the soft, pastel pearly look would fit Primarina better, and the hair didn't quite match other segments due to it's overly neon render. So I used the app's filters (mostly Hue Saturation Lightness and Brightness & Contrast) to make the hair section pearly just like the rest of the drawing.

࣪ ִֶָ☾. Tiny changes, details, and a lot of repeating:
At this point, all I did was adding tiny but big improvements like mouth, closing the small gaps I was talking about earlier and repeating the process many times. When something was wrong, I mostly used filters, but when it didn't work, I had to redo the work myself. I had to save a lot of copies in case I messed something up. I won't show all the segments I did next, because first of all, the picture limit, and second of all, I figured there's no sense since all I did was repeating the same shading process all over again. However, if you are interested, you can DM me and I'll show layers, screenshots of every segment I did step by step, and maybe all of the texture brushes I've used (there's a low chance I'll find QR codes of those brushes so you could use them, but I suggest searching Pinterest instead).
