I got the idea from cowcatchers old locomotives used to have.

Anyways, yesterday I uploaded the model to Thingiverse, and just hours after uploading it, the Community Relationship Manager of the whole website left a comment suggesting I enter the model into a competition that's currently being held on the site.

So I did... and now it's in third place not even a day later. First place is $500, but the competition still has a month to go.

Then the Community Manager contacted me again, telling me they want to feature my model in an upcoming design promotion.

Just, what is happening? I mostly made this thing for myself in, like, an hour, and now it's suddenly super popular? This is all a little bit overwhelming 😵‍💫

Other models I worked on for weeks didn't get nearly as popular. I swear, it's impossible to predict what people will like.

Recently, you cannot access Gooseworx's blog anymore, and people thought she deactivated her Tumblr. However, she was actually banned. When someone deactivates their main blog, a string of numbers and letters is attached to their username: "-deactivated[year][month][day]"

When you look at posts made by Gooseworx, there's no "deactivated" and no numbers

Some speculate that this might have been a sideblog, since there's no "deactivated" string if you delete a sideblog, but it was her main blog. You can't use sideblogs to like posts. If you search "Gooseworx liked this" on google, you will find proof ithat she liked multiple Tumblr posts.

Tumblr recently added the option to recover your account up to 30 days after deactivating, and until those 30 days are up the blog shows up the same way as a banned account would (i.e. no "-deactivated" suffix). recently a blog we follow (tpwrtrmnky, notably also run by a trans woman) was - by her own admission! - temporarily deactivated, and while deactivated it showed up in the exact same way, with no "-deactivated" suffix.

The small quantities and not immediate emergency parts are key though, as most of them are bioactive and will affect electrolyte levels in the body, eventually causing several different illnesses. But again, that's also true of table salt.
