Embracing aging also means embracing other people's aging. Many men (and some women!) will have thinning hair! People will have hair in places you don't expect. Their bodies will creak. Certain activities they used to be able to do will be painful or impossible. The last ten pounds you want to lose may never come off because your body wants it to be there. That's not a bad thing, that's just life! There's nothing wrong with a bald spot. There's nothing wrong with that one really long chin hair you can't seem to get rid of. There's nothing wrong with noise hair and ear hair. There's nothing wrong with creaky bones.

Embracing aging isn't just loving your grey hairs and wrinkles, it's accepting the things that you never planned for. It's understanding that you aren't going to be young forever and sometimes having all your hair is a young person's game.

If you're 25 and baffled that someone in their 30s/40s/50s is showing visible signs of aging, I've got really bad news for what's coming for you in the next decade or two. Learn to embrace these things now, before you're experiencing them yourself and it throws you into an existential crisis.
