My favourite hc is that Richard is actually such an uncanny-valley person to everyone else around him because of his eyes. Like when someone meets him at first he’s fine: nice, a bit shy, maybe a bit quirky, but he’s like any other guy. And then when they start noticing him from a distance, he’s so uncanny. He has a slouch, how he answers to things, how he reacts, which are all fairly just weird. But it’s his eyes. He has this perpetual widened empty stare, with the dark pupils framed by the white of his eyes. And even when he smiles or does any other expression with the rest of his face, his eyes just stare. They don’t move, they don’t emote with the rest of him. It’s the reason why the Greek class was so drawn to him, yet there’s still that underlying unsettling feeling he gives off that makes them squirmish

We don't talk enough about the fact that Sophie Dearbold dumped Richard because the way that he looked at her in the morning 'frightened' her, he's sooooo weird
