garak tells himself that this is Fine, even though julian hasn’t bothered to learn kardasi. in the five years they’ve known each other. even though julian and martok are laughing and joking together in the runabout back. it’s good to know more languages, of course. what is not Fine is julian insisting from that point on that they only read klingon stories for their book club. ”they’re so engaging”, julian says. ”so romantic and muti-facetted! so much better that that last play you forced on me-”

I'm not very familiar with Voyager yet but I do like fan theories so that's intriguing! But I was referring to how apparently the original idea was that Tosk were kind of prototypes for Jem'Hadar, as noted in the script of "The Jem'Hadar":
I think it's a really cool idea, too bad they decided not to mention it for whatever reason. I would like to have seen Tosk again!

also since we're sharing. ever since i bought the kanar bottle and saw how they look like irl the "improper use of a kanar bottle" tag made more sense to me. they really start out quite thin. i feel like it's not even that insane, considering
#my favorite shore leave theory is that the shore leave factories didn't generate anything for spock not only bc he's sufficiently repressed#but because torn shirt kirk is. right next to him already. honestly shirtless kirk beating up his own old bully while spock watches#is. i think this is spock's kink actually. up there with the 'yes...yes...good...good' voyeuristic reaction to kirk inventing a bazooka#spock watching kirk be righteous and brilliant with as little clothes as possible and spock himself getting to be Correct about everything#is a GREAT day for spock already. who needs wish fulfillment#kirk isn't even interested in the chorus girl sexbots only the simulacrum of his steady gf. & real ruth is out of the picture and no threat#also they got to grab each other multiple times it was basically obscene. AND all this started when kirk only wanted a massage from him.#so 'shore leave' in its entirety is pretty much 10/10 no notes ideal day as far as spock's psyche is concerned w/ no need for extra steps @anghraine tags
Comedic AU where Garak really was just hitting on the cute new human doctor, but oopsies, Doc Cutie Pie thinks he's a spy for some reason so he runs with it, and not wanting to disappoint his crush, he never stops...
Two years later, he's trying to fake his own death but goes so hard he accidentally poisons his bloodstream, but Doc Cutie won't let him die and he's somehow convinced the culprit is Garak's Cardassian-style chronic pain pump, but Garak also definitely implied it was a nefarious device the Order gave him to keep him from giving up secrets under torture. The only way to save himself without outing his lie is to hand the antidote to a well-known sitcom actor (Cardassia's favorite dad) who happens to have a retirement home in Arawath and is willing to play his amiably evil spymaster mentor for a fee.
