I know this is an ice cold take but watching TOS was shocking because I thought Kirk was a womanizer before going in and no it turns out he just loves falling in love.
some drawings of @wesleycrusherapologist's darling little angel Telek who has captured my heart and soul
I had a dream I had to draw garak and julian getting married and first I drew garak in a dress and then I started to draw julian in a dress but then I got stressed and worried that wasn't a good idea so I decided to instead put julian in a tuxedo and then also didn't like that idea, and then I thought about putting garak in a tuxedo too, but that also seemed bad, and then I thought "wait... it's star trek... their fancy uniforms are basically dresses" and nodded to myself in triumph as to what to do and then I woke up.
peace and love !!!!!

"We came here as fast as we could Benjamin"
I told someone I had gotten deep into star trek and they looked at me and said in a low, memey voice "five hundred cigarettes" and was confused when I stared at them blankly. They faltered and went "isn't that from star trek" and based on... everything I knew about star trek I went "pretty sure it's not. " turns out it's from the orville lmao (understandable confusion honestly). This is the second time this has happened to me. Did you know there's some streamer out there who made up a star trek quote that just doesn't exist. I do now.

I think one of the more fascinating aspects of my star trek binge was I went from enjoying the aos movies to absolutely hating them. It feels weird. Like the process of enjoying something made me a bigger hater. Which I guess is logical, just unexpected. I also now have way less respect for every star trek reference I see on TV (which mostly means bbt/young Sheldon, admittedly).
I learned the themes of the shows and went ">:0!!! People have been misinterpreting this shit for DECADES!!"
Honestly it's a shame cuz I think the actors are good. Karl Urban as Mccoy filled me with an eternal yearning I will never fully lose. I liked the third movie more than the others cuz of the delightful spones of it all. But whoof, those scripts, man!
