Rest in Piss, Dick Cheney. I can only imagine demons are doing to you now what US soldiers did to Iraqi civilians in Abu Ghraib.

On the day of Dick Cheney’s death, I’m thinking about a lot of horrible consequences of his actions, but I’m also thinking about Lauren Hough telling Dick Cheney to waterboard her “if it makes him feel better” when she repaired his cable.

This also applies to women who complain about feminism requiring them to work, rather than being ‘ladies of leisure’. Women equivalent to them in the past always worked - who do they think were the maids, housekeepers, cooks, nannies, wet nurses, governesses, washerwomen, spinners, weavers, seamstresses, nurses, midwives, etc - and today’s equivalent of the past’s ladies of leisure can afford to be ladies of leisure now. Feminism fought for women’s work to be acknowledged, valued, and fairly paid, and that fight is still ongoing.

A housewife managed the home, which included the household budget, taking care of her children, arranging tradesmen's services (chimney sweep, plumber, etc), overseeing the servants (there would be at least one), blacking the oven *every day*, cleaning every day to keep the soot off (because fire heated and lit the house), repairing all the clothes and textiles (which were much more expensive than they are today), repairing the upholstery and drapery, getting the laundry done (the first service hired out), and either cooking or overseeing the cook.

this shit is like high art and it's a ZILLOW LISTING . and that's not even all the photos!!! what the fuck!!!
