well, it's been about thirty seconds, past due time for everything to go straight to hell.

that is, alas, one of those things that exists in a state of contradiction -- in NMBC 1, Azul and Jade are bewildered by Zero because they don't know what dogs are supposed to look like, but in Eternity Float, there are dogs all over Ultramarine City (where they got their Human Training) and Jade is well acquainted with them. Twst is usually pretty good about consistency, but it still occasionally falls victim to the multiple-event-writers conundrum. :(

(still absurdly proud of my Nightmare Suit collection, just need Skully and Swing to complete the whole set >:D)

honestly I think he's kinda just A Guy under there; the question being more...is he a Specific Guy? is that why he's hiding his face? or, idk, he's been around for a few centuries probably...is there some kind of ill-thought-out past decision that he's trying to cover up?

i wanted to ask where the idea of people not knowing what a basement is in the twst world came from? was it a bit you came up with to have no one question the basement man purely because they don't know what the former thing is? is the pomefiore basement rebranded the dungeon of doom in your ramshacklies au? are basements a relic of the past existing only in ramshackle? will we ever get to see ramshackles basement?

thank you! :> I am afraid I must admit it's basically just a reference to the Mister Basement sketch by Neil Cicierega -- Swing living down there and being called Mister Basement wasn't actually an (intentional) reference by itself, but once I started calling him that, I couldn't not throw in a "what's a basement?" every chance I got. (sidenote: if you ever need reference for Skully, watch the Mister Basement sketch, it is basically just 'what if Skully was an obsessive cryptid about basements instead of a holiday'...which makes it all the more ironic that Swing is the one who ended up in the Ramshackle undercarriage 😔)

oh I am the worst person to ask for that kinda stuff, because I am. very much the kind of person who would be like "this song fits this character SO perfectly! I mean, okay, you have to ignore most of the lyrics, and -- well, all right, it's really just this one verse here, and you have to sort of imagine it's about something completely different than the actual words, and...well...it just has the vibes, okay" as you're standing there and wondering why I'm showing you the Denver the Last Dinosaur theme song. my song choices would be...let's say eclectic at best.

lost in the book events continue to be the best events so far, and I'm sorry I was not able to draw anything for it because this really was peak Twst being funnier than anything I could possibly come up with. 😔

Kalim and Silver getting distracted by a nearby butterfly and just...silently wandering after it for like five minutes straight is going to live in my head forever. forget the big climatic robot fight. give me more of the boys spending literal days being SO bad at building robots before suddenly remembering that they can do magic and didn't need to do any of this actually. also the running plot about how they don't have money so Jade and Ruggie go around mugging people and telling Silver not to worry about what they were just doing. the boys keep picking that cat up and putting it down again five seconds later. Galaxy Deluxe Ultra Mega Super Special Rare Chocolate Fudge-Dipped Mecha Grim. Rook poisons everyone by accident with hot sauce. Kalim convinces a guy to turn his whole life around and then accidentally falls into a river and nearly drowns. Rook and Baymax Take the Trolley For a Fun Day Out. just another day in the life of these lads what who keep getting sucked into magic books left and right.

I think mostly Swing just...doesn't feel threatened by humans? he hides and slinks around more because he's a little creeper who just likes watching people. so it's not so much that he trusts Skully as he doesn't have any fear of what might happen if he couldn't, if that makes sense! (there's some overconfidence there -- he's still just a little Swing, so if the whole village went after him at once he probably wouldn't be in great shape, assuming they could catch him -- but he believes it, at least.)

really, the question is more about if Skully can trust him...

oh umm I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean by "accurate", sorry! do you mean like, not going off the edge of the black, or something along those lines...?

usually when I do white on black, I'm actually erasing the black instead of adding white ink on top; then I just leave those areas white when I add tone or color underneath! like this is just black ink, with the "white" being erased areas:

I'm not sure if that might help with your problem, but if you're having issues with things lining up properly, then using an eraser (or a layer mask for a non-destructive method) to remove instead of add might help with that! BUT if I totally misunderstood you and this doesn't help at all, let me know and I can try to explain better! :')

P.S: I used a translator.

I don't have any solid plans to do any more at the moment, sorry! I have a couple of thoughts, but I want to wait until I have a stronger idea of what I want to do with 'em before I promise anything! although I'm glad other people agree that they are extremely good together. :D
