if you want butterflies, you need to live with caterpillars.
i am not being metaphorical, i work in a garden center, stop buying plants 'to bring in the bees and butterflies' and then immediately poisoning every caterpillar that dares to consume a single leaf
you will not get butterflies if you kill all the things that turn into butterflies! what are you doing!
getting a lot of responses to this going 'ok but it would be good as a metaphor though' so I will accept a metaphorical interpretation as long as you ALSO (!) promise to be considerate towards larval forms of insects specifically and biodiversity in general, deal?
The other day I watched a little boy get knocked to the ground by an older kid who was running by. He burst into tears as his mother hurried over.
“Here’s a bandaid for ya,” I said, producing one from my vest pocket.
“Oh, he’s not bleeding, thank you though!”
I lowered my voice and leaned in. “Kids think bandaids are health magic,” I said. “Ask him where it hurts and exploit that placebo effect.”
She did just that, and instantly the kid stopped crying and thanked her. “I’ll have to remember that,” she said.
Children: #HACKED
Also if you have a crying kid give them a cup of water. You can’t cry and drink at the same time and it gives them a chance to calm down.
Tell them their going to run out of tears so they drink the water.
My mom does this at her preschool after awhile the other children start offering the crying child little cups of water.
Stuff like this is also a great test to see if the kid is actually seriously injured! Because with how much some kids cry over tiny bumps and scrapes, it can be hard to tell. But if you slap a Band-Aid on it or give them a cup of water or a piece of candy and they stop crying, they’re fine. If they keep crying despite whatever little placebo or distraction you’ve given them, you might wanna look a little closer at that injury or seek medical attention.
With my two’s class we ask them “more hurt or more scary?” It takes a bit of practice but after a few times they can answer without more prompting. More scary gets a hug and more hurt gets a look over.
That last one is so important because it validates the child’s feelings and tells them it’s okay to have these feelings and lets them learn how to deal with them, rather than just distracting them from them. I also helps teach the child to both communicate their feelings more readily and communicate when they’re hurt more clearly. All really important skills for a child to develop young.
Mine…….. Oh my God they don’t listen until u bribe them with biscuits
Instead of sinning in the secret place meet God there💕

FAITH + TRUST in Christ Jesus
Psalms 20:7 ‘Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.’
John 20:29: ‘Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”’
See message from Holy Spirit below.
Can we Normalize thanking God for the process, not just the breakthrough?
Just another doodle
Jonh and Jesus after Luke 9 be like:
The Islamic account of Jesus Christ is absolutely incompatible with the Christian account of Jesus Christ.
For starters, Muhammad claims that Jesus never said he was the son of God:
"And ˹on Judgment Day˺ Allah will say, “O Jesus, son of Mary! Did you ever ask the people to worship you and your mother as gods besides Allah?” He will answer, “Glory be to You! How could I ever say what I had no right to say? If I had said such a thing, you would have certainly known it. You know what is ˹hidden˺ within me, but I do not know what is within You. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Knower of all unseen."
And that He never died on the cross:
"and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.” But they neither killed nor crucified him—it was only made to appear so.1 Even those who argue for this ˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever—only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him."
The God of the Bible and Allah of the Quran are two very different beings.
The God of the Bible is the only God.
Allah is a false god.
The idea that Allah is the Abrahamic God is nothing but Mohammad's self-insert fanfiction.
This sentence is so silly to me, I love it XD
It implies that other religions ( mainly those who involves totally different people created by them ) are just bad fanfictions that are far from God's canon but are still loved anyways by a lot of people.

Here's a redesign of my Jesus's design!
Basically the most notable difference it's His hair, but let's pretend this is an entirely new drawing-
Actual footage of me trying not to yell at people who think tiny humans should die because they’re inconvenient or somehow not people just because of the way they look:
My abortion was really one the most hated kind of abortion. I wasn't underage. I wasn't raped. I wasn't in medical need.
I got pregnant not through some fluke or 1 in a 100 contraceptive failure. I got pregnant because I was knowingly and willfully having unprotected sex. Out of wedlock too if that matters.
It was my own fault, I was being irresponsible because I knew I could always get an abortion if I got pregnant. My abortion was as close as it comes to 'using abortion as a contraceptive' as anti-choicers love to say.
I didn't abort it because my health was in danger or because I didn't have the ability to care for it or whatever else. I did it purely because I didn't want a child. I wanted sex and I didn't want to deal with any consequences from it.
There's no moral here. I don't feel bad about it whatsoever. I suffered no karmic consequences or punishment from god. My life is amazing. I want to rub this in the face of every conservative and anti-choicer. I did the terrible thing. I had an abortion for the most selfish of reasons and literally nothing happened. Suck it.
I'm sorry, but even if, for now, there are not consequences of aborting your child, that doesn't mean that, in the future, you won't face them.
A lot of people think that they're above consequences, mainly if they're from God. But even in the "tinniest" mistakes, a huge ammount of consequences can happen, even if you don't want or expect them.
Also, if you didn't wanted to have a child, then you could've just give him/her to adoption. This is not about being conservative ( even if they're also pro life ), but about being moral and conscient, knowing that a fetus is STILL a human being, even if they aren't fully developed; and that you're not forced to be a parent, but you also can't just straight up be willing to end with his/her life.
You might not be facing anything bad right now, but if you still walk through the path you're going through, you'll face things you REALLY don't want to.
So, please, try to come closer to God and ask for forgiveness. Of course, it might not be easy to recognize your mistakes and face the consequences He'll allow for you to have this change of heart, but please, allow Him to give you a chance to turn away from this path, even if you can't undo what you did.
Honestly you should shut the fuck up. Not everyone follows Christianity and it's her body. Pregnancy can kill women, and there's been a 5% increase in the states that have issued abortion bans including Texas with a 56% increase in pregnancy mortality rates. You all constantly bring up adoption but hardly anyone in orphanages gets adopted and most have to age out of the system. On top of that, why not already adopt some of the kids that are already here that need a good home? Not to mention that you'd just have a kid that's unneeded and unwanted. Every kid should be a wanted kid and pregnancy shouldn't be treated as a punishment for women.
I never said pregnancy should be a punishment for women???
I just said that it wasn't right for me to end with the life of a baby just like that.
And we can't assume that the kid who get in a orphanage never will find happiness and people who care about him/her, even if he/she doesn't get adopted.
I know it's pretty sad to see those kids not being adopted, you're absolutely right about that, because that's what, unfortunely happens, but I can't just accept ending with someone's life like that.
Every kid has a purpose in this world, having parents or not. We can't limit their journey just based on how we think their lives MIGHT be, but we need to hope God will do something for them, because He'll never stop caring about them.
Almost every pro lifer considers pregnancy as a way to punish a woman who is acting in a way they don't like even if they say that they don't, they treat it that way
It's still her body and her choice at the end of the day. If a kid is born to someone who doesn't want them, they'll probably be abandoned or abused. And not to mention they'd know they weren't wanted and that would probably cause them to feel guilty growing up. Would it really be better to have someone born into that?
Well, I can't agree on sex before mariage ( or any other kind of sexual relationship out of the way God made ), but I can't, like, violate whoever does it, even if it's wrong. And turning a child into a object of punishment for women it's quite extreme.
While I can't deny on the scenario of these kids being abused by parents who didn't wanted them and didn't thought of the possibility of putting them in an orphanage ( since this happen a lot, unfortunely ), I still stand against abortion because every kid has a chance to meet God and have their life transformed by Him.
As Psalm 27:10 say: Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.
Even if they get abused, neglected or even worse, they can still find God, we just need to have hope they'll meet Him.
While the trauma they might get won't be erased, they can still rest on Him, because He'll embrace and love them.
Okay but why should your religion dictate the rights of women? Not everyone is a Christian and it makes no sense to use one religion to control others. Women can die during child birth and can die due to pregnancy complications since roe got overturned a lot of doctors will refuse to treat you. It's the women who are carrying it, and they should be the say so over what happens to their own bodies, and not the government.
Well, God in fact made specific rules to women, but He did the same to men, and also general rules for everyone to follow.
What some "christians" tend to do it's distort His rules by oppresing women and worshiping men, when God explicitaly says that, despite their differences, they're still the same: children of God.
God's surely aware of the risks of some pregnancies, and if a doctor didn't made their job of taking care of them, He'll make them face the consequences of it.
And as children of God, we can't choose what's better for US to choose, because we're more inclined to do the wrong choice because of our sinful nature, being this the reason we need to talk to God and read the Bible to see if this choice really reflects His will and character. In summary, despite having bodies, we can't take control of them, because they're given by Him. What we need to do is ask God to help us to use it for good and make with them whatever He wants to do.
It might seem wrong to have someone taking over your body, but since He's it's creator, you can surely trust He knows what's better for you.
