women will seek out any old argument for why female independence and feminist actions are actually phobic or regressive or classist or whatever. like could you approach feminist politics from a place of neutrality at first as opposed to extreme antifeminist bias to signal to others that you’re woke or something? female solo travel is bad because it’s mostly women from the global north doing it. well done most international travel for pleasure in general is an affluent population’s activity. women buying land can’t be feminist because private land ownership is bad? well done I’m literally against private property as an institution and even I’m not foolish enough to see that under capitalism women’s land has still opened up political opportunities and spaces for women to organise around their interests or claim sanctuary away from men. like could your criticisms maybe not come down to the fact that random online women are to blame for the existence of private property or international disparities in global travel? could you use your brain more instead of smashing a few concepts together you’ve picked up from online discourse? can we read some books, some feminist history? like could you pleaaase not approach everything with the guise of an investigative journalist who is weeding out why all feminist impulses women may have are actually politically suspect? good grief
