Just some clown boy

david was a lot of things to me. he was my son that i bottle raised from the day he first opened his eyes. he was the tiny thing i'd hold and cry while we hid from our respective abusers. he was my biggest fan that would drop everything he was doing to rush up to me whenever he'd see me. he was my tiny emotional support himbo. he was the only thing on earth that loved me, at one point.  he was the thing that kept me going for the past 8 years and filled me with determination to stay alive long enough to give him the life he deserved. we finally escaped my parents house together a year and a half ago. i thought we were finally in the clear, finally both of us could be happy and live the lives i planned for us and i could make up for the awful first 6.5 years of his life. every one of my plans for the future involved him. he died on my birthday, february 15th, this year and i am lost without him rest in peace, david, i had so many plans for the two of us and im so sorry we ran out of time

hey since i’m occasionally giving out adult advice. anyone wanna know my very adult and very boring and very sensible suggestion for grief gifts for friends and family when someone close to them dies

When my dad died, everything was a black blur of grief and nobody could even really approach taking basic care of ourselves. A family friend made and brought over a HUMONGOUS batch of jambalaya, and it is basically the chief reason nobody fainted from hunger.

love is so embarrassing . also the only thing that matters

why are so many people on this post saying things like “oh so what abt aromantic people then 🙄” like um… stumbling as u give up your seat for an elderly lady on the bus. stroking your friend’s hair as they cry in your arms. someone you care abt making you a long lovely playlist of songs you might like. attentively listening to your sibling as they talk excitedly about something they care abt. the sound of hundreds of people in unison singing a song they love at a concert. someone peeling a clementine and saving half of it for themselves and giving the other half to you. letting your cat crawl all over you even though her claws are scratchy. sitting in comfortable silence with someone. the pride shining in your grandfather’s eyes when you facetime him and tell him abt what you’ve been up to. taking a sip of your friend’s boba. people grinning at you when u blow out the candles on your birthday cake… these things aren’t love to you? you guys don’t consider that love? really? truly?

podcasts are so fucking strange cause if you stop paying attention for like .5 seconds you miss so much information. like, i fell asleep listening to night vale once and woke up to cecil talking abt sex ed for spiders

But to be fair that’s just how nightvale is

Women be treating themselves to Special Coffee Drinks to motivate themselves to accomplish tedious errands

Sadly special coffee drinks don’t motivate me so my husband and I came up with Shrimp Points. We organized our Tasks and daily chores and stuff that’s been hanging over our heads and assigned various amounts of Shrimp Points to each item, and once we get to 1000 points we get to get neocardinia aquarium shrimp as pets.
