my mother has a way of making me feel like my approach to life admin and everyday tasks is unbelievably stupid and it makes me sad because like sure i know i’m not the most capable person in the world. but i get things done even when they’re ‘suboptimal’ or ‘not streamlined enough’ in her eyes and i don’t really know if it’s fair for someone with more life experience to be shaming me for things like cooking or loading the dishwasher or shopping for groceries SO badly and so consistently that i cannot bear to do any of it in front of her and have to do it all behind her back

#mynormalhousehold #this makes me sound so pathetic but like i think i do everything just fine. it’s that she doesn’t see it as ‘fine’ when it’s not carried #out according to her own codified systems which she expects everyone to figure out and then follow without explanation
