There's nothing better than these Chocolate Christmas Tree Cupcakes to make this holiday season more fun. They are easy to make and will make everyone happy this holiday season!
Ingredients: 1 box of chocolate cake mix. 3 eggs. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 1 cup water. 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1 cup butter, softened. 4 cups powdered sugar. 1/4 cup milk. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Green food coloring. Christmas tree-shaped sprinkles. Edible gold stars.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with the chocolate batter. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Let them cool completely. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Add green food coloring to the frosting until you achieve your desired shade of green. Transfer the green frosting to a piping bag with a star tip. Pipe the green frosting onto each cupcake in a Christmas tree shape. Decorate your Christmas trees with Christmas tree-shaped sprinkles and edible gold stars.
