I hate Gandalf big naturals because he deserves wrinkly, saggy, old person boobs.
Yeah? Yeah!!
y’all he clearly had plastic surgery to give himself those plush pillows. You’re really gonna shame a man doing what feels good to him?
Gandalf deserves the perkiest tits in all of Middle Earth
But then they’re his big artificials
Gandalf is a wizard and a divine spirit and he can have whatever kind of titties he fucking wants.
Also 1) images of Gandalf with older/saggier tits exist and 2) If you want more, nothing’s stopping you from making them yourself
I won’t have any goddamn Gandalf Big Naturals disrespect in my tower. Now put an old wizard titty in your mouth and shut up
OK, I’m sorry Gandalf.
A wizard is never too saggy nor too perky, he has precisely the boobs he means to.
that’s so wise
Several years ago, my spouse was like, “you gotta give the kitties a warning before you grind your coffee beans” and I was like “okay sure makes sense” so now every morning before I grind coffee beans I yell “it’s gonna get loud babies!!!! Gotta grind some beans!!!!” And my spouse will yell back from corners of the house, in a despondent tone, “OH NO NOT THE BEANS!!!! SCATTER!!!”

What the sneef? I'm snorfin' here!
Hey? You doin alright @ghost--bot ??
WHY YOU SHOULD WRITE HORRIBLY:
1. You’ll never write anything if you don’t
#like an absolute fucking King
I'm NOT gonna say it again
SEASONINGS include herbs and spices, along with minerals and chemicals used to season food!!!! Salt, citric acid, and MSG, are all examples of seasonings that are NOT herbs or spices!
HERBS are flavorful leaves. Only. Leaves. Doesn't matter if its dried, fresh, whole, or ground, if it is a leaf, it is an herb
SPICES are flavorful parts of plants that are NOT LEAVES. These include seeds, berries, stems, bark, roots, flowers, buds... NOT LEAVES
THANK YOU
Things are heating up in the cooking fandom.

9/8/22 SJM live recap
I'm just going to cover the stuff about the books and no small talk since it's not super relevant for fandom purposes lmao
First question: world of acotar, inspiration, where it came from
Felt the world was building for a long time, got idea for series in ~2008, heard Feyre's voice narrating the first scene
Liked the idea of faeries who aren't nice/sweet
Said 1 book/year was too slow at first--sold acotar to publisher
Feysand was always planned, rewrote acomaf other than Feysand
Felt like acosf was something where she could expand the wordl
When did she decide to expand to acosf?
Gearing up to work on acowar, didn't want to say goodbye
Starting writing "after" the events of the series to help her write acowar
Knew Nesta would be 1st spinoff
Fell in love with Nesta from book 1
Character work is amazing, avoids shorthanding trauma, how does she do that?
Connects really deeply with her characters
Experiencing terrible things has consequences
Writing Nesta helped her with her own issues, was in a similar place as Nesta in terms of lows
Acosf was deeply personal book
Acosf is proof of what a terrible place she was in, first few months she was writing it was when she started meds/therapy
Feyre's trauma was so much of her own and she didn't realize at the time she wrote it
Hike scene was inspired by her own experience hiking with her husband in nz
Area in New Zealand spoke to her, was known as a "healing land"
Thoughts circled and she couldn't get out of it, similar to Nesta going around on the stairs
Didn't go through everything Nesta did, wanted to find inner peace
No such thing as "fixing", everyone is a work in progress
Found family is so powerful, clearly important, how do they play out in the books?
She starts by saying she loves her family, but loves the idea of finding your place in the world with people you want to be around
She has her sisters (Feyre is the "best" sister), but needs to find a place outside of her baggage where the past isn't weighing down on her
Nesta fears her friends will find out how "terrible" she is, shows them the dark pieces and they don't leave
Talks about her irl best friend who is a "found sister" who accepted her dark, jagged parts--rebuilding of how she saw herself
Lots of people who feel like they aren't worthy of love (Nesta) - - sjm gave her a wonderful community and gave her Cassian who "didn't step ahead of her". Heroines lead the charge, how does she draw rhys/cassian in that context, what do they represent?
Has to remind herself to let the guys do something 😂
Cassian initially was watching Nesta in the Rite in a previous draft, not dealing with Eris/Azriel, just being worried but proud
Loves the moment when Nesta explodes (makes a comment about Amren's quote in acowar!!)
Soft spot for Cassian
Tamlin is abusive, we watch Feyre struggle, Rhys takes her away and never tries to tell her what to do and helps her come into herself. Men are so supportive while also hot ("rhys is king" lol)
Comes from how Josh treats her in real life, isn't interested in men who shove their women aside and stifle them
Loved writing Rhys because he brought Feyre along while doing dangerous stuff
Will always love Rhys, "he is a gift"
Fun to see Rhys from a different pov in acosf. Loved to write Nesta hating Rhys or how someone else sees him
Nesta and Rhys still have stuff to sort out, consequences of Nesta saving him and Feyre
No person is universally loved, Nesta is somewhat jealous of Rhys because people love him
Nesta Made a friend because she was lonely
How much of the idea gets into the book itself?
Knows where the series will go, has general "tent poles" of what will happen, doesn't always have the nitty gritty mapped out. Small discoveries, but loves also when they link together
"taps in" to a flow of storytelling sometimes
Left the map at the beginning of the book mostly blank, filled it in through the books as feyre found things out. Lots left blank still (continent specifically)
Loves moments of "pure discovery" in a new place
The bog and the Mask was inspired by her trip to Ireland
Reader questions (5):
1. Loves the sisters, wants to know 1 thing she likes about each sister
Feyre: compassion even at her lowest (hard to think of things to say without crying) for other people, herself
Nesta: (loves so many things about her) loves her obsession with smut. Loves that she's not scared of anybody (Helion, finger pointing)
Elain: quiet dreamer, different sort of strength from nesta/feyre. Loved when Feyre goes back and realizes that Elain saw the cottage with hope
Truly believes that no one is perfect, didn't want to write about someone who was innately good and has no problems. Nesta has said/done things that are not nice or okay, can still learn and grow and reflect. True question is why people act the way they do. Wanted Nesta to be "unlikeable" (doesn't like that word though) and still grow.
Adventure is a way for characters to grow--Feyre and the Weaver. Feyre realizes she's strong and won't give up. Nesta and the bog--is triggered by the kelpie and literally reaches for power (one of her favorite scenes ever)
Blood rite was like "final test"
2. Why did you choose to write from Nesta's pov?
Her character needed her story told the most, Nesta's story was calling to her in acowar
She's obsessed with Cassian, has been forever, was excited to write a Cassian romance
Her dad tried to read the Nesta blowjob scene when she was doing edits 💀 (tells her dad to not read what she writes)
In between question:
Sarah knows who she wants to write stories about, there are a lot
3. Will we get an Elain pov or Azriel pov in next book?
More of Elain "in some form" in the next book
Hasn't written the next book
Currently working on cc3, really enjoying it
How many books in cc series?
Contracted for 3, other characters and 4 houses (likely more books)
Other stories in tog she would want to tell at some point, door isn't closed
Sometimes misses Aelin and Rowan and the gang
4: Gwyn and lightsingers, Azriel is a shadowsinger, is that a counterpart to the lightsingers? Does Azriel have a "beast form" as well?
Mentioned conspiracy theories, says she likes "close reading"
Won't say anything about the book since she hasn't written it yet
A favorite creature she's written?
Loved the bone carver and the kelpie
Has to be a little obsessed with everything she writes
Doesn't draw anything she writes
5. Hear Gwyn talk about other worlds and nesta uses time string, could there be time travel?
Fan theories, good careful reading
Won't spoil anything or commit to an answer
Advice you'd give to a writer watching?
Many people discouraged her when she started
Knew this was what she wanted to do with her life, she would keep writing the next thing no matter how the books did
Keep trying, sit down and keep writing
Here’s my recap of the conversation between Sarah J. Maas and Sarah MacLean to celebrate the paperback release of A Court of Silver Flames! It was a fun conversation with some intriguing hints.
