this is def one of my favorite scenes in FAITH chapter 3 because of the horrific implications of it.

for some context, shortly before this scene we see john get poked with a needle held by gary (the big bad of the entire game). john presumably goes unconscious for a few moments, and when he wakes up and we walk him to the next screen (which is ominously marked by a trail of blood), we are greeted with what can only be described as a massacre. blood is everywhere, with the seemingly torn apart bodies of many cultists (the pink guys) strewn about. as an added bonus, when you approach one of the cultists, they straight-up beg john not to hurt them.

it is established in the game that john is very weak. if he gets touched by ANYTHING its a one-hit k.o. straight into a MORTIS. the only thing john has to defend himself is his signature cross. all of this is already terrifying in and of itself, but my god THIS SCENE???????

its one of those moments that only has its true horror revealed when you REALLY think about it. john, father john thomas ward; a man riddled with guilt, and now carrying the fate of the entire world on his shoulders, mild-mannered and non-confrontational, frail and meek and delicate like the petals of a lily; he did this. he single-handedly butchered maybe nine cultists with nothing but his bare hands. he is the one who covered this room wall to wall in their blood and broken bodies.

dear god imagine how john must have felt upon realizing this. that he, a simple child of man is the cause of all this carnage. was he even human when he did all of this? no, he HAD to have been some sort of demon when he did all of this. but maybe deep down he knows that the demon has always been inside him. scratching, clawing, yearning to break free. and all it took was a damned needle to force it out of him.

maybe in that moment he thought he was doing the right thing. these cultists have done nothing but lie and manipulate and murder to get what they want, they were too far gone for salvation. maybe some people deserve to die. maybe this is the only way these sick bastards can repent for all the horrible things they've done.

I fucking hope Stolas looses everything, never gets it back and Octavia never forgives him for both the cheating (regardless how bad and abusive Stella is, it's still cheating and and I don't buy 'wanting to give his daughter a normal life' bs because all you did staying together was make her life chaotic and stressful the two could have still had joint custody if Stella wanted to be in her life jfc) and over all being a shitting ass father but we know that's not gonna happen. He'll get everything he wants by series end, including the man he abused, SA'd, manipulated, broke down and molded to his liking because Blitzo thinks he's not worthy of love otherwise way to normalize abuse Viv.

I said it once, and I'll say it again: Fuck Stolas (in a bad way) as both a character and how the writing puts him on a high horse and makes everyone around him look worst or an idiot. If anyone else was writing him, he wouldn't be coddled and likely be seen as a villain and I'd go far to say he'd be viewed in the same lenses a Valentino but because the show gaslights the audience and and has mothered a horrible fandom who attacks anyone who even slightly criticizes Stolas, the show and it's creator; we're stuck with this character arc dragging down the show futher.

The shows views are down, the general audience outside your stans are jumping ship and those who still watch the show but are critical of it are likely going to loose interest by the end of the season.

Yes, I know these. I had never really heard them used until I came back to the fandom about a year and a half ago, though. When I was a baby phan (pre-Gerik/2004) as far as I remember, "Erik" always referred to the original Leroux Erik, and people would say things like Kay!Erik, etc. The surname "Destler" was also really popular in those days (which refers to the 1989 Robert Englund horror adaptation, although it was used interchangeably with most versions--I promise I never did this!)

I think you've got most of the names down, anyway. It seems like people only really use these for the "favorites", which are currently, Lerik, Merik(musical Erik), Kerik, Gerik, Cherik (can refer to either the Charles Dance miniseries Erik or the related musical Erik, even though he wasn't played by Dance). There are a ton of other Eriks, of course, but I don't see them given names in the same way.

Anyone feel free to correct me on this though, I am probably wrong. I've never been great keeping up with fandom culture! Plus I'm really just a hardcore Leroux(Lerik)/Kay(Kerik) girl myself!

Randa is in Rwanda so the campaign is to reunite her with her six family members! She has posted an update on June 26th, almost three weeks ago:

Her family has their visa rejected when they entered Rwanda, so they are staying in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, but only temporarily. They have to borrow money to cover the high cost of living as well as issue new visas for Rwanda. (This is mentioned in her fundraiser).

omega / rouge (i got a little lazy for this one) :

rouges tend to be the most different from omegas, possessing an innate social intuition that allows them to navigate the world around them. they tend to be characterized as elusive, and, well, like vixen. they have weaker nesting behaviors than omegas, but may still nest during their heat.
