The angel banishing sigil is something she introduced to Sam and Dean. And yet Dean credits Cas for teaching him it.

She dared to question long before the series, she risked being killed by her own kind just so she could experience humanity.

She is the one that repeatedly urges Cas to think for himself.

Specifically that Jared was a bad person and I shouldn’t waste my money on him.

A lot of these comments came from Destiel shippers who just hate him for some reason and for ages I couldn’t figure out why. I eventually had an auto with him and realised that a lot of it was lies. He’s actually a standup person who is well worth spending your money on (and I found certain other actors weren’t).

Since I’ve been further away from the fandom I’ve found that some of these ultra haters of Jared are just not very nice people. Case in point, this woman below.

What a vile, disgusting, vicious excuse for a human being. All this because his wife posted a Happy Birthday message with a supportive undertone about his mental health?

I shouldn’t be surprised though. This is the woman who decided to make vicious comments about me and then either herself, or her friend, decided to send me a conveniently timed anonymous ask that effectively shamed me for my suicidal ideation. Something I have suffered with since I was 16 years old and only came back with a vengeance after the death of my dad.

All because they pushed me to the brink of wanting to kill myself, they then told me it was pathetic to feel suicidal because of this fandom. Shame I immediately deleted the ask because I should have left it for all to see, to show what nasty people they are.

I digress though. To have this reaction is disgusting. Having a mental illness is no different from having a normal illness. You wouldn’t say you were angry at somebody being physically ill because they have money so why is that fine for a mental illness?

Because that’s the problem. Mental illness is still seen by disgusting cretins like this as people vying for attention. When it isn’t. A mental illness is because there is a chemical imbalance in your brain. It is as valid as any other illness.

People like this disgust me. I don’t know how she thinks she’s a good person when she says stuff like this.

I’m sure the antis will spin it or make excuses, but once again they’ve been proven to be no more than a loud, pathetic but ultimately small portion of the Supernatural fandom.

In fact, as much as I hate Cass' treatment of Sam and Dean, ESPECIALLY Sam, what really made me begin to see him as a dickhead was when he possessed a thirteen year old child to manipulate her father into being his vessel, thereby basically destroying that little girl's life as she knew it. Oh, lets not forget when he wanted to kill Jesse in I Believe Children Are Our Future for basically just believing in old wives' tales. And then being rude to Sam when he wanted to tell Jesse the truth so he could make the right decision. Actions of Cass that led to him being turned into an action figure. Cass just wasn't a good person or character at all and his actions in his final episode truly ruined him, imo.

I inclined to still like Jensen. I certainly think he’s made mistakes and he’s not as "humble" or "caring" as some of his fans have bought into. But, I can relate to him in some ways, at least I can understand some of his actions even if I don’t agree with them. And I don’t think every nice every nice thing he says or does is calculated or fake. And I do think he truly cares about Jared, but his ego can get in the way at times.

Anyway, I enjoy him, or enjoyed him, as Dean Winchester (until like season 13 where he’s an asshole). I thought he did a decent job as Alec in DA, comparable or better than lots of that cast anyway. And looking back, I even enjoyed him as Beau Arlen in BS because he still showed some charm and charisma in that role, imo. He was still like a Dean variant, but one I found sort of charming and likeable. On the other hand, I think he was boring and not particulary likable in Countdown, and I think his Soldier Boy was super one note, not helped by the writing, and even in Season 3 I didn’t find him that compelling, more amusing in an asshole way.

Anyway, all of this to say that I agree about the over-hyping and people thinking he is perfect being tired. It’s so annoying, and honestly baffling. He’s so very clearly not perfect. If so many of the SPN fandom could just acknowledge that he’s not always bringing his A-Game then the things they do praise him for that are actually decent wouldn’t be so annoying. And let’s not normalize heaping praise on really unremarkable stuff, like him eating in a scene or the stupid perfect man tear.

He’s certainly not a rockstar because he doesn’t sing on key way too often for that label. I actually feel like I’m taking crazy pills when I watch him perform a song, cringing at several off notes, that see fans wetting themselves over his performance, claiming it’s not fair he’s so perfect, that he can do everything so well. My guy/girl, he didn’t sing on key consistently, and yelling his way through a song is not only not an indication of perfection, it’s an indication that he’s not even a particularly proficient singer. Now I don’t think he’s alway off, even in more recent years, I have enjoyed his performance of some songs, but there are more misses than hits imo.

And his dancing in season 15 was basic as hell. People out here calling the man a triple (or more) threat, and the dude isn’t even a double-threat. 🤷‍♀️

It drives me crazy that people say Jared’s acting went down hill in later seasons, but can’t see that Jensen's did too. I have to be honest, I think both could still bring it in certain scenes, but I also think both phoned some things in or played them over the top, or just couldn’t make themselves care about a scene. This notion that it’s just accepted that Jensen was the best thing to come out of SPN, or carried the show is so obnoxious. You pair that with people calling him perfect for the bare minimum, and it’s truly frustrating.

Jensen as a person to me isn’t awful, just a typical actor with an ego. Most of them are like this especially when they’ve been praised too much and gotten their way too often. His biggest issue with me honestly is more that he’s just not interesting. He doesn’t stand out, he doesn’t have any conviction, I don’t know what he even cares about or who he even is, he repeats the same character on less interesting projects. It’s just…meh. Nothing special to me.

I never know what people are talking about. There are far more talented and interesting actors that have real personalities. Jensen has to often mirror people around him because he hasn’t developed his own sense of self. He digs into Dean Winchester and uses him to hide behind. I bet no one can describe Jensen Ackles to me without using Dean Winchester.

Damn, mitshit stans are so disgusting. Yes, how dare an actor tell you how he played his character. But my question is, why do you need their validation so? Why do you despise how he was written??

Don't you fucking fetishisers ever claim again that you are queer allies. Because you are not! You are using gayness and homophobia as a weapon and you are doing so much damage to the queer community.

Go, ask REAL queer people how they think about you and your agenda. Come on, go to the next LGBTQIA+ rallye and ask them how they find your way of fighting "as an ally".

So I’ve messaged by someone who was at the con and said Jensen brought up Danneel several times. A mutual listened to the videos and confirmed. And nearly every time, it was a negative and toxic way. Made me headdesk.

I know the stans will go “But that’s just their humor!”

And people laugh.

He did the same when he was asked about the OTH reboot at the Countdown premiere. He said that if Danneel ‘asked’ him to be on the reboot, he’d be on it—no choice in the matter. Again, people laughed.

Everyone laughed and went “Yas Kween!”

No autonomy at all for Jensen. Zero. This isn’t cute. This speaks as to why he’s barely home. This speaks to battles over power in an unhealthy marriage.

A marriage isn’t about fights over power. About who gets one over the other. It should never be about that.

But his stories do that over and over again. Math questions and everything else.

Maybe they’ve been married for 16 years, but I sincerely doubt it’s been ‘happily’….
