does anyone have a script for the spn s4 episode "on the head of a pin?"
i watched that one yesterday and my favorite scene is when alistair is taunting dean before dean starts in on the torture. i love when dean tells him he could still dream in hell and he would dream about that moment and he had some ideas all while putting the syringe together. then he loads it up with holy water, turns to alistair, and says (very menacingly), "let's get started."
alistair has a look of abject terror on his face in that moment when he sees what dean's intentions are.
i'd like to see the script of that scene because i'm curious about the stage direction.
if anyone has that script or can tell me where i could see the pages, i would greatly appreciate it.

Jensen's IMDb profile picture has been updated! I'm glad.
I loved the Soldier Boy photo as an image, but having a character's portrait as your main image seems...limiting? I don't know the right word. But especially when it's an obvious iconic costume rather than if they're in civvies. This is a much better choice.
Now they just need to update the extremely long biography. Get it to an elevator pitch (ok, of a skyscraper) rather than an essay. He doesn't need all the padding.
Jared, it's your turn for an update next. His photo is from 2011.
Whats your opinion on the whole Purgoatory thing and that Sam didnt look for Dean. I hate when they hate on Sam for that and i say that as a Dean girl
Ooh fun question because I have thoughts on this (also as a Dean girl). A lot of thoughts apparently š
I agree with Jared that it's the most out of character thing Sam does.
And I agree with Dean that ditching Kevin was worse than not looking for him. I feel like that's when he flew off the handle more, because it meant that Sam had just abandoned a scared kid who had been trying to reach him.
It's bad on the surface that Sam didn't try at all and seems that very early on, almost immediately, he just became a civilian and that was that. But he'd lost everyone and everything. Dean, Bobby and Cas being the most obvious but even people like Rufus. Bobby's house had been the lore library and there were centuries of reference material lost, and if was the only place that felt like a home. He'd never been that isolated. At least in season 6 he'd had the Campbells but they were all gone. Even in uni, Dean was just a phone call away and he'd have set a new land speed record to get to Sam if he rang.
Not to mention that when things were at this scale, there wasn't much a regular hunter could do. They're just human. Angels can get you out of hell, but there weren't any angels to help this time. God wasn't part of the plan so why would he intervene like with pulling Dean out back in the day? Dean might have been the first human in purgatory.
I know some Dean haters say it's the same as when Dean gave up hunting to live with Lisa but we know he kept trying to get Sam back and struggled emotionally the whole time so he wasn't happy with a white picket fence. And the main reason he was there was because it's what Sam wanted him to do. He was trying to carry out Sam's dying wish, while still being unable to do that.
Sometimes I wonder if people are conflating their hate for Amelia with hating Sam over it. Because she was awful. There was truly nothing about that storyline that made Sam look like he made a good choice. Sam and his dog starting a new life together with just the two of them would have probably been received better.
So, I definitely don't hate Sam for it, for not looking for Dean. Maybe a tiny side-eye for not trying at all and a bit more side eye for abandoning Kevin, but his reasons were understandable.
But I also understand why Dean was so angry so I don't blame him for his reaction either. And I don't even blame him for carrying a bit of resentment over it because he's just never been able to put himself in other people's shoes, and can't imagine someone doing it when he didn't do the same when faced with that situation and tried to get Sam back from the cage. That's just how he reacts to these things.
Dean doesn't know how to be alone. I get it in a way; I absolutely struggled when I left home and was alone. It's not about being unable to take care of yourself, it's just that some of us are pack animals and some are lone wolves. Sam can exist on his own, and has. But Dean can't. Even in purgatory he made a friend.
So, I don't hate either of them for it. I hate that Sam didn't look for Dean. I hate that Dean never really forgave Sam. But I understand their reasons and their reactions. That's part of what I love about the boys. Neither is perfect or right all the time. But they have trauma that has made them how they are, and their hearts are generally somewhere around the right place.
But people who use it as an excuse to hate on Sam? Yeah I hate that.
So you think being top billing means you get to be in on conversations about the direction of the show??? Are you serious here?? Do you think top billing has that kind of power?? šššš
So by that logic, since itās so fresh in our minds, Antony and Karl shouldnāt have been throwing shade at anyone (Since thatās what everyone thinks) since they would have had ALL the say in The Boys S5 right??? ā¦.Right????!!! Yeah, no.
Karl was an EP, and he didnāt have much say either.
Jared though Sam not looking for Dean was out of character and hated the storyline of season 8. He couldnāt do anything to change that. He had no creative power or that storyline wouldnāt have happened. There are plenty of things he didnāt like and couldnāt do anything about it.
So no he wasnāt able to change anything for Jensen way to try to blame him for something somebody else wrote.
I thought you people laughed about him being āfirst on call sheetā and claim that Jensen took over the show yet somehow Jared has unprecedented power here??? Lord you people donāt know what you think on anything.
Has everyone forgotten that Jared's the most powerful man in Hollywood? Sarandos and Iger wish they had a fraction of the influence Jared has ššš
They speak so confidently about the industry when not only do they not understand it, they don't even listen when people like Jared and Jensen tell us about how it worked in relation to this specific show. Their questions have been answered. By the leads. This has been covered. The same way they choose to never listen every time that Jensen says that after initially hating the plan for the ending (because he was so close to Dean) that he came to see why Dean had to die and how much he now loves the finale and is so proud of it.
If J2 had more influence in the background, Supernatural would have been a better show. By the end they were all that was holding it together. It's a testament to how much Jared and Jensen loved the show that they pulled it off for so long because God knows nobody else was trying as hard as they were to make it work.
I'm sorry, but if you think his words are hurting people and making you feel "unwanted" because he didn't say what you wanted him to say, maybe you shouldn't go to anymore conventions badgering him about the dumbass "confession." And dying at what used to be their safe space. You mean a space where you could get him to say what you wanted him to say, right??? Dying at "fans" being in tears. LMAO
Not Tiffany of all people in there saying his words are hurting people and encouraging the worst parts of the fandom. Do you even hear yourself, Tiffany?? I mean, you wanted his dad DEAD, ffs!!!
I'm autistic and queer and Jensen has always been at the heart of making me feel wanted and safe at conventions.
It feels so good to know that no matter how much you love the show, and no matter how much you love Dean and he's your favourite fictional character of all time, Jensen's an even bigger fan of Supernatural and Dean. We're blessed to be in a fandom where the two leads both care more about the show and its audience than any other show I've ever known.
If hellers actually watched the show, the real whole show that was made, all 327 episodes, all 300 hours of it, they'd see that.
Jared and Jensen are fucking unicorns and if these twats pushing their obsession with fanfiction and their fetish on either of them leads to them stopping doing conventions, I hope they're ready to receive more hate than they've known in their lives. Because they're the minority and I think they're going to start realising that sooner rather than later. Their ship was not the show. It never was. They deluded themselves into thinking it was. That's on them. Not on Jensen. He's been gentle and coddled them, and look where that got him.
//They deluded themselves into thinking it was. That's on them. Not on Jensen. He's been gentle and coddled them, and look where that got him.//
They are bullies trying to gaslight us into believing they are victims. This is what you get when you tolerate, appease, validate (in Misha's case) or coddle bullies. It only ever gets worse as they realize they can push the boundaries further and further. I really hope Jensen has finally learned that lesson and doesn't let his foot off the gas pedal on this one.
As for Tiffany, I cannot *believe* that girl has the nerve to stay in this fandom after literally wishing death on Jensen's father. That takes A LOT of balls. She never apologized or admitted she was wrong. Just went private for a little while until the heat died down. I often wonder if Jensen got wind of that little controversy when it was going around and what he thought.
This may sound harsh, but in what universe is a convention for a TV series a 'safe space'? It's not a therapist's office, it's a place of entertainment. I swear these people project their issues so hard it's not even funny.
I feel like it's a safe space to express yourself and let your nerdiness out without judgement. And because you have a shared passion, your guard can come down in other ways.
I'm autistic and small talk is hell, but at Supernatural conventions that's probably the only social space where I'm not on edge and exhausted after interactions. That whole autistic masking thing? I can drop it with the "Supernatural family" like I can with my actual family. It's awesome that I have a place where I can do that and be that. It's one of the reasons I love the convention atmosphere so much.
But I think some people have taken it that a safe space to geek out about your favourite show is also a safe space for their terrible takes to not be challenged. They think they're free from criticism. Where they think they'll be coddled and told they're even more super special than Azazel's special kids were because they're always right all the time. They think that somehow the hundreds of other people there only watched Tumblrnatural the way they did.
Nope.
We paid a lot to have people admire our Supernatural tattoos, clothes and accessories. To be with people who throw in quotes constantly in conversations and you get every reference they make. And mainly we are there to see the actors who brought us the show we loved. And those big prices we paid are for the leads. For Jared and Jensen. That's who the majority of people are there to see.
Even the bigger accounts on social media who share their conventions experiences, it's all about J2. And anyone who is threatening them and their peace is threatening everyone else's. So yeah, if you hurt Jensen or Jared, that's not going to be received well. And if your own feelings are hurt because you've been punching yourself or sticking an angel blade in the spokes of your own bike, you won't get sympathy from many people.

Further proof that hellers pay no attention to what Dean says since he said numerous times that he isn't interested in men THAT way. He IS canonically straight.
Do they think any of those 50+ writers know Dean better than Jensen? He was the only constant. And not one of those 50+ writers did write Dean as anything *but* straight. Including multiple times when the script said he was straight. And multiple times when he called Cas family, and all that stuff. For fifteen years.
So yeah.
Dean is canonically straight.
The reason Jensen consistently establishes it is because he's the one who was cast as and played a straight character. For fifteen years.
Some of the writing was absolute dogshit and it was clear that the writers were not familiar with the source material they were writing for, especially as time went on and inconsistencies became more glaring. But even then, all those bad writers knew Dean was straight and wrote him as such. For fifteen years.
the Absolute Audacity of assuming only hellers are queer and autistic. lmao. like... tell me you use your identity as a cudgel without telling me.
Just like they think they're the main audience, they think the only reason queer people would like the show is because of their ship. For people who misunderstand the main characters, they have a bad case of main character syndrome.
And why they conflate autism with being a heller I don't know. That makes even less sense, but it certainly shows how they'll use anyone for their cause and to try and strongarm people into taking their side.
It's like Crowley telling Sam how they've all been demons and it's nothing special. There are a fuck ton of autistic and queer Supernatural fans. It still doesn't make Dean bi š
Have you ever meet Jensen or Jared? And if yes how was it meeting them?
I've had the pleasure of meeting them a few times at conventions over the past three years since I started watching the show. They're both beautiful. Not just incredibly handsome, but with a beautiful energy about them.
No matter how long Jensen has been standing there for hundreds of photos he always hugs like he means it, I always get a smile or something from him when I thank him after that doesn't just feel like he's on autopilot. Each one of us matters. He also always makes eye contact at autographs and is fully present at the table. Sometimes actors are sat chatting to their handler and practically ignore you but Jensen never has. It's quick, but for the time you're with him, he's right there with you.
Jared always says or does something even in the few seconds you have at a photo op that makes it feel like time stops. He'll compliment your Supernatural t-shirt or even just say it's great to meet you as if we're not the ones melting in his presence. He also gives the best hugs. Again at autographs he's always going to take a second to say hi and thank you.
They're both absolute gentlemen, with perfect manners. They know what it means to us to meet them and it truly feels like they appreciate it. They both give so much of their time to us, and although they're paid handsomely for it and it's part of the job I still believe they don't dial it in like some actors have a reputation for doing at conventions (not Spn ones) and actually love meeting us and giving us those memories. It's intense for them both, with hundreds of us all wanting a special moment, and somehow they still deliver.
The only negatives are that I now have unrealistic expectations when I meet other actors and they don't have the magic of Jared or Jensen and it does feel like they're just there for the money. And I want to meet them both as many times as possible, and I have a lot of lost time to make up for, which gets expensive.
But truly, I do feel like it's worth meeting them if you want to and if you can. They're both wonderful.
LMAO

The entitlement from these "fans." Imagine saying with a straight face that Jensen is so "disgusted by homosexuality he can't fathom that being how romantic love between 2 men looks like???" When will these people understand that there was no dean/cas romance in the show? That at the most Dean ever only saw him as an ally? I can't imagine crying this hard over a 6 year ended show. LMAO
His normal(non shipper) fans are terrorists, now!! ššš
Calling others parasocial when they are the one calling everyone who isnāt interested in their ship āhomophobicā and continue to have tantrums 6 years after the show ended when the actor theyāve been harassing for almost 2 decades answers for the hundredth time he wasnāt playing Dean that way.
You arenāt being persecuted you dumb fuck because you are lgbtq+, you are being called out for being an abusive prick. There is a huge difference. He is saying neither he nor M played into that so no, from his point of view, it wasnāt romantic. He isnāt stopping you from interpreting it that way, but calling people homophobic and acting victim when you are the problem is a shitty life choice.
"A disgusting homophobe" is a disgusting insult to throw at a straight man just for playing a straight man. It's not homophobic to say that a man who loves his brother loves a friend in the same way, and if you think that implies he loves his brother sexually and that makes you uncomfortable? Also on you.
List more ways Jensen is homophobic other than not validating your fanfic. Name other homophobic things he's done. Name a way he's infringed on gays people's rights or put them in any danger. Name a way he's supported anything that actively harms the LGBTQ+ community.
What homophobia is he "getting away with"? Actual examples of it, which are protected under equality law and he's doing something truly heinous that Jensen shouldn't get away with. Come on. Hard proof.
Acting the character as he was written by playing him with love and dedication for 15 years and continues to keep in his heart isn't homophobic. It's acting.
Jensen knows what love between two men looks like. He also knows what a friendship between one man and one ancient celestial idiot in a trenchcoat looks like.

If it was all Jensen who was carrying the show and he was directing and singing and all that, why did the prequel fail.
If he is so responsible and the most talented and Jared ofcourse is worthless. They didn't say that but implication is clearly there. Its of course not writer's fault who couldn't write sam's character. Its Jared who was incapable. But if Jensen was so capable where is TW now.
"I hope he has healed from the betrayal of that finale???" Wtf??? š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£The way you people treat him as if he's a fuckin baby, seriously??? Do you honestly believe he should get the ending he thinks he deserves for his characters?? I'm sorry, but if an actor is still crying six years after his show ended, he shouldn't be in show business. My gods, this is the funniest shit!! I'm gonna frame this!!!! Lmfaoooooooop
The way they're ok with this guy being an egomaniac but have the gall to call Jared one........š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
At least they know full well it wasn't Mishap carrying it ššš
Jared and Jensen carried the show. That's why they have such broad shoulders.
"I don't know how he didn't have a bigger response to it"
He had a response to it that cost him millions, his professional reputation and almost cost someone their life. And some of that won't ever be healed from.
Other than that, his response to the finale is love, pride, praise, and closure. I know it kills them, but he understands the ending, knows it made sense, knows it was the ending Dean would want, and most importantly is proud of what he and Jared did. He loves how they wrapped up the show about two brothers by making it all about the two brothers again one last time. Of course they desperately want Jensen to forget that but he won't. He'll keep recreating the barn scene and talking about how much he loved it.
The prequel series Jensen and Danneel made, The Winchesters, had a horrific incident during production. The first assistant camera operator, Bryan DeLorenzo, was struck by lightning and although fortunately he didn't die, he suffered life changing injuries. There are safety guidelines on working around lightning that weren't followed. That's what the ongoing lawsuit is over.
Jensen invested a lot of money into it, including licensing a Led Zeppelin song. As their production company made it as their first and only project, they have this huge failure of a show and huge failure of a production that will surely hold them back from future opportunities. I should have also said it nearly cost him his friendship with Jared because doing all that behind his back was a terrible move too.
Maybe everyone else was doing all that, but I was almost entirely bed bound because my neurological condition wasn't terminal and they practically shut the department down for anything except emergencies. Sitting up was putting pressure on my brain and left me in agony, but I could just about cope with laying down so that's what I had to do. I spent two years looking at the ceiling. Couldn't read. Couldn't even focus on tv because I'd be in and out of consciousness and when I was awake getting sudden agonising pain. When there's something physically wrong with your brain it's different from a headache or a migraine. It's hell.
Delays were huge because staff were redeployed. Appointments were as sparse and speedy as possible so waiting rooms would be empty. Having to go to appointments alone or my husband having to fight to be allowed to accompany me because I was struggling too much to retain information and even answer questions. Brain MRIs are scary at the best of times, but all of that added extra anxiety on top? Hell.
Everything fell on my husband, who was working throughout because he was an essential worker. No other family could help because of distancing and bubbles and all sorts of laws brought in, so he was my sole caretaker though this too. He was my only support, and there was nobody to support him. He's the strongest man I've ever known and I can't believe how well he held it together for me. In sickness and in health was tested to the limit.
I lost two years of my life, as well as ultimately years off my life expectancy because of lasting effects from spending so long incapacitated. Once things opened up and I could be monitored and have treatment, even just see doctors like normal, I improved some and even went back to work part time, but I'll never be the same.
I'm glad some people had fun but I spent a good amount of time during that just hoping I'd catch covid and die just so it would be over.
Pardon me if I don't share in the pandemic rose tinted glasses.
If it was all Jensen who was carrying the show and he was directing and singing and all that, why did the prequel fail.

I wasn't going to give a shit about this Scooby Doo, including because it's on Netflix which I don't have but also because nothing will beat the casting of Matthew Lillard as Shaggy. But him finally being a real dog? I give so many shits, and I'm picking them all up with a little plastic bag.
A cameo from the Winchesters would be perfect but there's no way that will happen. But I can dream. Even just an Impala in the background of a shot.
Spn has a very a racist fandom (though most try to push themselves off as progressive because they might not be exactly straight) but I notice full of weird white people, same with Bonnie and Damon from the vampire diaries they shouldāve been together and fans loved saying he wasnāt in love with Bonnieā¦they had wayyyy too much chemistry lmao. they hate when black girls are the main characters so they ship them with men who the main characters have never shown romantic interest in itās a pattern Iām not blind and other black girls arenāt either, idc if itās considered homophobia itās just racism it happens a LOT (real life too but thatās another story) but Iām not turning a blind eye to it anymore idgaf. Whatās the obsession with shipping straight dudes with dudes who they arent into romantically, and there are actual gay characters IN the damn show is what confuses me, no one cares about the lesbians in the show thatās for sure.
Not to mention dean would literally sacrifice castiel if he has to save Sam lmao
Bonnie and Damon being stuck in that prison world or whatever it was was one of the most interesting parts of the show for me. I thought after that they'd surely get together, but no. It's one of the reasons I haven't even bothered rewatching it. I got pissed off with how dirty they did Bonnie every damn time, and how the cast didn't have much chemistry between them except the ones they didn't make a couple.
Dean and Cassie should have been a thing. She was the prettiest girl he was with. And actually had a real job, a real brain and a real personality all proven in one episode. Lisa was pretty but also pretty bland in terms of character development. I kept hoping Cassie would come back, even if they just crossed paths like they were pretending to be reporters and she was actually reporting on the situation.
Obviously the show was never going to be about romance and couples it would have been more convincing if he went to her in season 5. Dean loved her. And again if we're looking at chemistry theirs was so good and their sex scene felt natural and believable rather than shoehorned in.
I'm white so I can only give my perspective from what I see through that lens, but as well a lack of diversity in the casting, I do feel like the fandom rolls with it rather than question it. Black characters are pretty much all on the side against the boys, even if they aren't actually evil characters or monsters. Taking Death from being almost a neutral entity to being an adversary when they made her a black woman so people happily say they hate Billie doesn't sit right with me. And then the episode with the dog familiar whose master was a white cop? Easily one of the worst casting choices and a terrible episode all round.
I think it is a type of homophobia to ship straight characters with men because it's fetishising gay people rather than some sort of allyship. It's not homophobic to be straight or play a straight character but the sheer amount of porn created around Destiel without caring one bit for the canon fact that Dean is straight and not a monster fucker is exhausting. They don't like the show or the characters if they centre their fandom around Destiel.
Dean's whole world revolved around Sam and his love for his brother because it was a show about brothers. Cas was a friend who often made their lives difficult and did some unforgivable stuff that means I don't even care that Dean often treated him like shit. Dean's lovers were all beautiful women and it was clear that he didn't have any interest in men. It's not "overcompensating" to only pick up women, or only flirt with women, or only check out women. That's just being a straight man.

i've never seen a man dress more for convenience and comfort than jared padalecki. he literally just grabs whatever is lying around. it's adorable. (he really needs to retire the wounded warrior t-shirt, though. how is it even in one piece at this point?)
Socks like that are the opposite of comfortable though 𧦠they move as you're walking and then your toe goes through the hole or thet rub and cause blisters. In that state, they're relegated to rags for cleaning paintbrushes as one last hurrah.
I remember noticing one (of many) pairs of his holey socks was D&G, which sell for almost $200 a pair. This man confuses the hell out of me. Yeah get your money's worth but that's over $1k in socks per week. That's probably normal people's sock budget for life š
That said, any man who looks that good in a tux should have to wear one at least once a week. I don't care if you don't have anywhere fancy to go. You're walking the dog in that, whatever.
Iāve just got to the episode with Donna. Does Briana actually sound like that in real life? Is that her actual accent? Because she sounds like a Canadian parody. (Also, sorry if Iāve offended any Canadian moots my experience of Canada is one person who was my high school teacher and Robin from HIMYM).
They basically wanted her to play Margie from Fargo, but not pregnant*. It's a Minnesota accent. They have a pretty unique accent because of how many Finnish and Scandinavian people settled there, and it's closer to/more influenced by Canadian than other American accents. Things like "you betcha" are Minnesotan too.
*Briana didn't tell them she actually was pregnant because she wanted the part.
