I really don't want Jensen stuck on such a shitty show when he should be looking for something of his own rather than playing second fiddle to someone like Justin. Being second fiddle to someone who is actually a great actor would be fine. But Justin absolutely doesn't fit that criteria. And I don't want to be stuck having to watch an incredibly boring show just because he's in it.

It means people who thought he wasn't are the ones with the problem because they have such a limited idea of what a hetero man can be like. A straight man can't possibly be beautiful thanks to his extremely attractive parents, or be unafraid to be vulnerable with people he's close to and let himself cry when he needs to release what he's been bottling up.

And nobody thought Dean was with Cas, only Sam. People could tell they loved each other, they just didn't realise it was as brothers. It probably didn't help that they were using different names when they were introducing themselves to people on a case. If they both had the same name, people would know they they brothers. With Cas there was no love to mistakenly pick up on.

Also, it's definitely not the case that everyone assumes he's gay. There are a lot of women, at least one in every town he goes through, that know he's very, very much a ladies man. And they still remember that years later.

For the 3(ish) who didn’t know/remember Gert, she’s the old lady in Red Sky at Morning (3x6) who Sam has to ‘entertain’ all evening whilst Dean & Bela steal the cursed Sailor’s hand from the museum.

Sam’s clearly uncomfortable with her groping at him but it’s played for laughs & accepted as funny by the show & most fans. But, for me, if the plot had been Bela* (or any young woman) being groped/assaulted all evening by an old guy 3x her age as a distraction so Sam & Dean could steal something, there would have been push back.

I didn’t enjoy when it aired but it’s felt worse during rewatches, especially when seen in the wider show context because Sam lost his bodily autonomy at 6 months old & others had already repeatedly used his body/groped at him even by the end of s3.

I kind of makes me sad that because it happened to Sam it’s rarely called out, and in general his SA experiences are played for laughs 99% of the time.

Yes, some of the lines in that episode were funny and I did kinda like Gert but Sam's clear discomfort was not. When we binge it becomes really clear how often he's violated over the years. But of course because he's a big manly man it's funny.

Once Dean has a place to go after being homeless almost all his life, but that place is a top secret bunker for a society that hunts monsters and is not somewhere he can bring women to, he loses interest in hook ups. This is because there's a memory foam mattress waiting for him for the first time in his life.

Once Dean is in his late 30s and his libido is naturally slightly lower, he loses interest in hook ups. This is because little Dean is doing less of the thinking for him.

Once his hunts shift from folklore ghosts to dealing with an annual apocalypse on top of the ghosts, he loses interest in hook ups. This is because he was the weight of the world on his shoulders and is under a lot of stress.

Once he descends deeper into depression and alcoholism, he loses interest in hook ups. This is because low mood causes low libido, and he was potentially even affected by brewer's droop.

That said, he doesn't lose all interest in hook ups, still loves female attention and is always admiring women or flirting with them.

It's not about Cas, and doesn't even line up with him meeting him. It hits all of the above points though.

The sad part for Lynette isn't that Dean is a mechanic. Its that in her eyes Sam is living the perfect life. He has a job and an actual love interest he was ready to marry. Dean was left ambiguous with clearly his status shown far less better than sam. That what she has issues with. How can Sam be in more better and stable condition than dean. Sam deserves hell. Isn't the reason she hates finale? How come sam got to live but not dean?? 🤣

The funniest part in all his how she is pretending to actually rewatch it. I bet money she started watching because people were pointing out flow in how she talked and had no idea about so many scenes. She didn't watch first three seasons and others she fast forwarded.

If they ever listened to Dean, that was pretty much is his perfect life. And in the real world he knows he won't get that and we see he tells Sam for years that his own happy ending is knowing Sam had a happy ending.

I still hate that Dean died. But Dean was always going to die. That was the story, that was the character, that was set up for years. Lots of characters I love die. And if it works in the story, then that's how it is.

Few people get what they deserve.
