They speak so confidently about the industry when not only do they not understand it, they don't even listen when people like Jared and Jensen tell us about how it worked in relation to this specific show. Their questions have been answered. By the leads. This has been covered. The same way they choose to never listen every time that Jensen says that after initially hating the plan for the ending (because he was so close to Dean) that he came to see why Dean had to die and how much he now loves the finale and is so proud of it.

I'm sorry, but if you think his words are hurting people and making you feel "unwanted" because he didn't say what you wanted him to say, maybe you shouldn't go to anymore conventions badgering him about the dumbass "confession." It feels so good to know that no matter how much you love the show, and no matter how much you love Dean and he's your favourite fictional character of all time, Jensen's an even bigger fan of Supernatural and Dean. We're blessed to be in a fandom where the two leads both care more about the show and its audience than any other show I've ever known.

If hellers actually watched the show, the real whole show that was made, all 327 episodes, all 300 hours of it, they'd see that.

They are bullies trying to gaslight us into believing they are victims. This is what you get when you tolerate, appease, validate (in Misha's case) or coddle bullies. It only ever gets worse as they realize they can push the boundaries further and further. I really hope Jensen has finally learned that lesson and doesn't let his foot off the gas pedal on this one.

I'm autistic and small talk is hell, but at Supernatural conventions that's probably the only social space where I'm not on edge and exhausted after interactions. That whole autistic masking thing? I can drop it with the "Supernatural family" like I can with my actual family. It's awesome that I have a place where I can do that and be that. It's one of the reasons I love the convention atmosphere so much.

But I think some people have taken it that a safe space to geek out about your favourite show is also a safe space for their terrible takes to not be challenged. They think they're free from criticism. Where they think they'll be coddled and told they're even more super special than Azazel's special kids were because they're always right all the time. They think that somehow the hundreds of other people there only watched Tumblrnatural the way they did.

Nope.

We paid a lot to have people admire our Supernatural tattoos, clothes and accessories. To be with people who throw in quotes constantly in conversations and you get every reference they make. And mainly we are there to see the actors who brought us the show we loved. And those big prices we paid are for the leads. For Jared and Jensen. That's who the majority of people are there to see.

So yeah.

Dean is canonically straight.

The reason Jensen consistently establishes it is because he's the one who was cast as and played a straight character. For fifteen years.

List more ways Jensen is homophobic other than not validating your fanfic. Name other homophobic things he's done. Name a way he's infringed on gays people's rights or put them in any danger. Name a way he's supported anything that actively harms the LGBTQ+ community.

What homophobia is he "getting away with"? Actual examples of it, which are protected under equality law and he's doing something truly heinous that Jensen shouldn't get away with. Come on. Hard proof.

Acting the character as he was written by playing him with love and dedication for 15 years and continues to keep in his heart isn't homophobic. It's acting.

If it was all Jensen who was carrying the show and he was directing and singing and all that, why did the prequel fail.

If he is so responsible and the most talented and Jared ofcourse is worthless. They didn't say that but implication is clearly there. Its of course not writer's fault who couldn't write sam's character. Its Jared who was incapable. But if Jensen was so capable where is TW now.

He had a response to it that cost him millions, his professional reputation and almost cost someone their life. And some of that won't ever be healed from.

Maybe everyone else was doing all that, but I was almost entirely bed bound because my neurological condition wasn't terminal and they practically shut the department down for anything except emergencies. Sitting up was putting pressure on my brain and left me in agony, but I could just about cope with laying down so that's what I had to do. I spent two years looking at the ceiling. Couldn't read. Couldn't even focus on tv because I'd be in and out of consciousness and when I was awake getting sudden agonising pain. When there's something physically wrong with your brain it's different from a headache or a migraine. It's hell.

Delays were huge because staff were redeployed. Appointments were as sparse and speedy as possible so waiting rooms would be empty. Having to go to appointments alone or my husband having to fight to be allowed to accompany me because I was struggling too much to retain information and even answer questions. Brain MRIs are scary at the best of times, but all of that added extra anxiety on top? Hell.

Everything fell on my husband, who was working throughout because he was an essential worker. No other family could help because of distancing and bubbles and all sorts of laws brought in, so he was my sole caretaker though this too. He was my only support, and there was nobody to support him. He's the strongest man I've ever known and I can't believe how well he held it together for me. In sickness and in health was tested to the limit.

I lost two years of my life, as well as ultimately years off my life expectancy because of lasting effects from spending so long incapacitated. Once things opened up and I could be monitored and have treatment, even just see doctors like normal, I improved some and even went back to work part time, but I'll never be the same.

I'm glad some people had fun but I spent a good amount of time during that just hoping I'd catch covid and die just so it would be over.

Dean and Cassie should have been a thing. She was the prettiest girl he was with. And actually had a real job, a real brain and a real personality all proven in one episode. Lisa was pretty but also pretty bland in terms of character development. I kept hoping Cassie would come back, even if they just crossed paths like they were pretending to be reporters and she was actually reporting on the situation.

Obviously the show was never going to be about romance and couples it would have been more convincing if he went to her in season 5. Dean loved her. And again if we're looking at chemistry theirs was so good and their sex scene felt natural and believable rather than shoehorned in.

I'm white so I can only give my perspective from what I see through that lens, but as well a lack of diversity in the casting, I do feel like the fandom rolls with it rather than question it. Black characters are pretty much all on the side against the boys, even if they aren't actually evil characters or monsters. Taking Death from being almost a neutral entity to being an adversary when they made her a black woman so people happily say they hate Billie doesn't sit right with me. And then the episode with the dog familiar whose master was a white cop? Easily one of the worst casting choices and a terrible episode all round.

I think it is a type of homophobia to ship straight characters with men because it's fetishising gay people rather than some sort of allyship. It's not homophobic to be straight or play a straight character but the sheer amount of porn created around Destiel without caring one bit for the canon fact that Dean is straight and not a monster fucker is exhausting. They don't like the show or the characters if they centre their fandom around Destiel.

I remember noticing one (of many) pairs of his holey socks was D&G, which sell for almost $200 a pair. This man confuses the hell out of me. Yeah get your money's worth but that's over $1k in socks per week. That's probably normal people's sock budget for life 😂

They basically wanted her to play Margie from Fargo, but not pregnant*. It's a Minnesota accent. They have a pretty unique accent because of how many Finnish and Scandinavian people settled there, and it's closer to/more influenced by Canadian than other American accents. Things like "you betcha" are Minnesotan too.

No matter how big a Sam stan anyone is, they'll never be a bigger Sam stan than the biggest Sam stan of all time.

Shared interests, one of the reasons I liked Supernatural was the soundtrack had so many of my favourite bands on it. It helped get me hooked early on. Music is extremely important to Dean and he has excellent taste in it. I'm a brilliant passenger princess. I love to go on drives but can't drive. So snacks, massaging tense necks, DJing, maps, whatever. I'm ready. I feel like he'd appreciate that too. Watching every movie ever made and a good chunk of my vocabulary being quotes? Yes and I don't know how many times I've had to explain why Dean's pop culture reference was hilarious. Shared humour can make or break these things.

And I would love to introduce Dean to the keto diet whilst spending life together. I feel like having someone cook extremely meaty meals would be great for him. He enjoys food, let's male it enjoyable.
