This particular one is inspired by one named Nibbles and is actually a creation of... Either Trin(ssjtrinity), Kraiva or Somniate, all on AO3, they are responsible for writing a series of fics called Surrogate: Director's cut.

Something I read part of a while back (I should keep going the story was fun) and Nibbles was one of my favourite characters.

Simon rocking the shit out of that eel!!! Also, for people drawing/writing tree!Simon stuff, it does seem like it has networked to the side of a trench wall and webbed through it.

Yeah, no, that's definitely just a tree. I was going for something a little more fleshy, like maybe a basket starfish/vine shape, but that is, indeed and confirmed, a whole ass tree, trunk and everything.

After sifting through hundreds of photos... I have realized that every time Simon takes a photo in the SM-13, he's pulling up a frame to a stop motion animation.

And it can be played back as video.

So, I took each black box photo and compiled them together. You can now watch Simon's entire journey from the SM-13's camera like found footage.
