dear boys,

I cannot find the right words to say. it’s been six years. six years of excitement, anticipation, happiness, fun, friendship. six years of stress, of hard times, of injuries and rumors. six years, good and bad, that you spent together as five, and with us shawols.

six years is a really long time. and you’ve accomplished so many things. you’ve won award after award, up until the daesang that you deserved above all else for your always bright mood and hard work. you’ve developed from cute, dorky boys into handsome, even dorkier men. and really, I say this with all my heart: I wouldn’t have it any other way. I wouldn’t have you change for even one bit.

some might wonder why I showed your never ending gluttony on your anniversary edit, of all things. that’s because I feel the most happiest for you when I see you eat. for one, it shows me how human you are. you’re just as much stuffing your faces as the rest of us are, when you get the chance. second, it just makes me so happy to know that you are getting good nutrition. we all know an idol’s diet can be overbearing and exaggerated. but seeing you eat makes my heart swell. it’s the happiest for me.

so, for the next year, please remember that we love you no matter what. we will stand beside you, for another year to come. you are our five brightly shining boys. we will always love you for who you are.
