@monsieurclavier: they are ADORING parents. and even though eridians have such long memories, sometimes they yearn to FEEL what it was like to hold their little ones. that's why they make the sculptures: they're 3D photo albums, yes, but they also allow aging parents to hold their baby pebbles again. 🥹

@monsieurclavier: not grace holding a sculpture of pebble!rocky and immediately deciding he needs a baby pebble of his own. rocky senses that in the way grace's body CHANGES--the tightening of grace's arms around the sculpture, the dropping heart rate that is usually a sign of the human body flooding with endorphins, the slight increase of moisture in grace's eyes--and immediately decides that wait, hang on, this might be worth all the embarrassment after all. now, all he has to do is get grace to sing their eggs into hatching together, and soon, they'll have pebbles of their own to make miniature sculptures of.

any time someone is in any kind of crisis or upheaval, offer to feed them. tell them they don't have to choose what it is if they can't make decisions, just ask about allergies and preferences and tell them you're just gonna make food happen at their house.

friend having a baby? delivery gift certificate to order food to the hospital after the kid shows up.

someone's relative passes away? offer to make them dinner.

buddy gets laid off? ask if you can order them lunch.

pal stuck in a depressive episode? offer to drive them to fucking mcdonalds, if that's what they want.

people in crisis are tired and sad and angry and the last thing most of them are doing is thinking about feeding themselves. so if you have the ability or time or money, providing that is always, always a good move.

I'm just gonna slide this on in here for anyone that is interested in preserving old games. They take it very seriously too, they want an archive of every single game. Like, they have lists of every game ever released for a system, and once that system gets old enough, they add it to their archive and start collecting. Their latest addition was the Xbox 360, they opened that vault up in September 2022, and proudly announced they'd finished their collection of games for it back in April.

Also, while their game archives are almost entirely complete, they've got another project of archiving the manuals that came with those games, and that is... considerably less well filled out. Their collection of Xbox 360 manuals is especially rough, they've only gotten manuals for three games. So if you've got some Xbox 360 games kicking around, and the manual's still with them, please consider scanning them and submitting them to the site!

Initially this was going to be home wrecker-part 2 Tom riddle/mafia-ishh style but uhh… yeah, no idea what happened there.

As for the rabbits: they symbolize my artistic panic whenever I don’t know what to put in the background.

Random art tip: Wanna fill in an empty background? Just throw in something random that seems to have a deeper meaning and 5/7 times it actually looks better than leaving it blank.

(And if you squint really reallyyy hard, most of my art follows this exact rule)
