idk if any of you guys saw this play out but there was a sort of meme going around for a while between men on the internet that was like "when your gf has her birthday makeup on and you have to tell her it looks nice 🤢" and i could not comprehend this at first but then i realized its bc for a lot of women this is the one time per year that they are going full glam and doing fun makeup while celebrating themselves and i truly think most men hate when a woman is wearing "fun" makeup bc they internally realize that she is not doing it for them and not appealing to the male gaze or following the patriarchal standards of makeup lol
