8th house/scorpio placements protection (by placements + planets!)

if you enjoy (yes!) having placements in scorpio or 8th house, you know you need a lot of discernment with anything coming towards you in your life: friends, lovers, anything you consume mentally needs to be well fit.
Because your energy field is like a deep well â people will throw their coins in and make their wishes whether you asked for it or not. Some will come to drink from you. Others will try to drown in you. You donât need to catch every coin or rescue every swimmer.
Your protection is in recognizing that not everything deserves entry into your inner sanctum. Scorpio/8H energy is magnetic by design â it pulls stories, secrets, obsessions, and projections into its orbit. But discernment is your shield: just because you can merge with someone or something doesnât mean you should.
Rituals help, as well as discernment, selection, and anticipating only good of people.

Practical Protection Tips for Scorpio / 8H Placements
Journal the Shadows â Scorpio energy pulls secrets out of people (including yourself). Instead of letting that intensity swirl inside, keep a private âshadow journal.â Write down what doesnât belong to you so you can release it.
Salt + Water â Keep a small bowl of saltwater near your bed or desk. It acts like a sponge for psychic debris. Change it weekly. (Classic Scorpio protection move: letting water absorb what you donât need to carry.)
Protective Dress Code â Wear black, deep reds, or obsidian jewelry when you know youâll be in draining spaces. Scorpio rules protection through armor â fashion can literally serve as a shield.
Digital Discernment â Curate your feed. Scorpio/8H placements absorb the emotional undertones of what they scroll through. Unfollow accounts that feel invasive, obsessive, or draining.
Closing Portals â Before bed, say out loud: âI return all energy that isnât mine and close all doors that arenât meant to be open.â Scorpio thrives when boundaries are affirmed as sacred rituals.
Candle Check-Ins â Light a candle when youâre processing heavy emotions. Watch the flame. If it flickers wildly, your aura might be overloaded. Once it steadies, blow it out â symbolizing release.
ăăăâŠăăă.ăă. ăâËă.ăăăăă . âŠăăă ăËăăăă . â â. àżàż ăăă.ââ ăăËăă ăă*ăă ăăâŠăăă.ăă.ăăăâŠăË ăăăăâËă.ËăăăăâŠăăă.ăă. ăâËă.ăăăă ăă ăăăă à©â§ËłÂ·ËⶠâŠăă
Scorpio in the 1st House â Protect your aura. People project onto you the moment you enter a room. Wear protective jewelry (obsidian, black tourmaline) or a symbolic âwardrobe armor.â Let your appearance set the energetic boundary.
Scorpio in the 2nd House â Protect your resources. Be mindful of who you share your money, possessions, or talents with. Keep a small charm or coin in your wallet as a symbol of financial sovereignty.
Scorpio in the 3rd House â Protect your words. Others may try to twist or weaponize what you say. Carry a journal with you to âsay it safeâ first. Mantras before speaking can protect your tongue from being drained by gossip or arguments.
Scorpio in the 4th House â Protect your home. Your sanctuary absorbs outside energy. Use salt by thresholds, cleanse with incense or bells, and create a private space that no visitor enters.
Scorpio in the 5th House â Protect your joy. Lovers, friends, or audiences may want to feed on your creative fire. Share only what feels fun, not what feels obligatory. Protect your playfulness like itâs holy.
Scorpio in the 6th House â Protect your routines + health. You can obsess over fixing or purifying yourself. Instead, schedule downtime as medicine. A glass of water + 10 minutes of silence daily can act as psychic detox.
Scorpio in the 7th House â Protect your partnerships. You attract intense bonds. Know when merging becomes enmeshment. Keep one hobby, journal, or ritual thatâs only yours and never shared with partners.
Scorpio in the 8th House â Protect your soul. You already swim in the deep. Donât take on othersâ trauma unless youâre prepared to transmute it. Energy-clearing rituals (like shower visualizations â water washing away whatâs not yours) are vital.
Scorpio in the 9th House â Protect your beliefs. You magnetize powerful teachers and philosophies â but not all are meant for you. Before adopting a worldview, sit with it in silence and feel if it empowers or drains you.
Scorpio in the 10th House â Protect your reputation. Your public image attracts fascination, projection, even jealousy. Share selectively online. Build your legacy brick by brick, not by overexposure.
Scorpio in the 11th House â Protect your circles. Friend groups can get intense, even cult-like. Choose your communities carefully. Carry a protective talisman to social events to remind yourself of your individuality.
Scorpio in the 12th House â Protect your psyche. You absorb collective shadows in dreams and solitude. Spiritual cleansing is key: meditate with
ăăăâŠăăă.ăă. ăâËă.ăăăăă . âŠăăă ăËăăăă . â â. àżàż ăăă.ââ ăăËăă ăă*ăă ăăâŠăăă.ăă.ăăăâŠăË ăăăăâËă.ËăăăăâŠăăă.ăă. ăâËă.ăăăă ăă ăăăă à©â§ËłÂ·ËⶠâŠăă
â Sun in the 8th House â Protect your vitality. Others may try to feed off your presence or spotlight. Schedule time away from the public eye to recharge. Think of solitude as sunlight your soul needs.
âœïž Moon in the 8th House â Protect your emotions. You feel othersâ hidden pain. Daily cleansing rituals (water, salt, baths) help release what isnât yours. Keep a dream journal so your psyche doesnât get clogged.
âż Mercury in the 8th House â Protect your mind. You pick up on subtext and secrets easily, but not every thought needs to be yours. Limit conversations that spiral into paranoia or manipulation. Use writing as a safe container.
â Venus in the 8th House â Protect your heart + intimacy. You attract intense relationships. Vet lovers carefully and protect your finances in love. Wearing copper or rose quartz can help balance passion with safety.
â Mars in the 8th House â Protect your energy output. You burn hot when provoked. Channel intensity into controlled outlets (sex, workouts, creative projects). Avoid revenge or youâll drain your own reserves.
â Jupiter in the 8th House â Protect your generosity. You may give away too much â financially or spiritually. Learn to tithe your energy, not spill it endlessly. Keep a charm or jar of coins as a symbol of selective abundance.
â Saturn in the 8th House â Protect your boundaries. You may feel karmic weight in intimacy or debt. Say ânoâ without guilt. Build financial + emotional boundaries slowly and consistently. Black tourmaline is a great anchor.
â Uranus in the 8th House â Protect your nervous system. Sudden shocks in intimacy, finance, or psyche can shake you. Keep grounding practices (barefoot on earth, breathwork). Donât let chaos become your normal.
â Neptune in the 8th House â Protect your psychic channels. Othersâ energies blur into yours. Stay sober with your spiritual practices. Use protective visualization before readings, sex, or money exchanges.
â Pluto in the 8th House â Protect your power. Youâre a magnet for transformation â but also for control dynamics. Recognize manipulation quickly. Keep a ritual of power reclamation (writing, fire magic) to remind yourself youâre never owned.
âž Lilith in the 8th House â Protect your sacred autonomy. Others may project taboo, fear, or desires onto you. Please donât absorb it as truth. Your raw magnetism doesnât need to be explained or softened. Practice saying âthis is mineâ when it comes to your body, your energy, your choices. Keep a ritual of cleansing (smoke, salt baths, or burning old notes) to release what isnât yours. Your power is primal â guard it from being shamed or stolen.

fyi the point of fucking up your data patterns isnt to avoid suspicion. itâs to make EVERYONE suspicious. same logic as the bloc, pals. protect your comrades, be suspicious. ESPECIALLY if you arenât doing anything likely to get you arrested.
the state is less omniscient and significantly more incompetent than youâd think. overextend their resources at every possible opportunity. make them cry wolf repeatedly. run their data analysis agents fucking ragged. and strike. attack.
YES iâm a postgrad statistics researcher and i can tell you that the state honestly has NO IDEA what to do with the data it collects, it has an obsession with big data but itâs almost impossible to work with in practice. the traditional statistical approaches that are used canât be scaled up, the adapted approaches are substantially weakened, and the machine learning approaches have the same problems and often tell them nothing. data scientists are only just coming around to these issues too, most still just push on with it anyway - incompetence is the word. above all this though, like you say, the biggest issue for the state is at the point of data collection. they will NEVER get anything useful if theyâre collecting shitty messy data. they will eventually figure out that the real solution is working how to collect accurate and meaningful data, we should make it as difficult as possible for them to do that
This makes me think that we need WAAAY more apps that generate junk data
Apps that generate junk data? tell me moooore.
Ooh I know this one!
Ad Nauseum is an adblocker that stores the ads it blocks and continuously generates fake clicks, fucking with analytics and costing the ad companies money
TrackMeNot automatically does randomly generated searches on a variety of search engines to obscure your real searches and fuck with analytics, and you can set it up to work with anything that has a search bar (including facebook, twitter, amazon, youtube, etc)
WhatCampaign replaces analytics parameters in links with the string âFuckOffâ. I thought there was a similar extension that used random strings, but I canât seem to find it
Privacy Possum is a fork of Privacy Badger with a focus on costing tracking companies as much money as possible, and idk if my limited tech knowledge is enough to understand what it does but the description does say it falsifies some data so thatâs good enough for me
@afraidofamericans
Boy it SURE would be a SHAME if this were SPREAD AROUND for everyone TO SEE
@raspberryxhearts
I'm glad you're speaking up about how the idea that shoplifting hurts the workers seems a little suspicious. Everywhere I worked retail, unless I guess there was suspicion that you were in on it, was "just let them go, maybe try to get a description so we can kick them out next time"
And itâs exactly the kind of thing that some bourgeois would seed online and all the woker than thou tumblr kids would eat it up and spread it as far as they can. Every time I bring this up I get several people telling me this - that theyâve never even heard of a first-hand account of this, that itâs inconsistent with how retail chains view shoplifting, etc
I mean, Iâve never had a job even train me on how to stop shoplifting! Most of the places Iâve worked have never even talked about it, and they definitely donât expect the cashiers and stockers to be making like, citizenâs arrests lest they lose their bonuses. Oh, and you better believe that if I accused someone of lifting when they werenât Iâd be fired immediately for bad service. Thatâs not the behavior they want to encourage
Again Iâm not going to outright say that it never happens or that the idea itself is propaganda, but at worst itâs such a negligible effect that itâs far outweighed by the benefit you get from lifting + the damage to the company
We get people shoplifting pretty often. Weâre not even allowed to stop people from shoplifting by force. We have a security guard, and even they can only make police reports after a thing already happens. The most any of us can do, that we ever do, is approach a shoplifter and tell them to leave. Most of the time they leave with the items, because we canât touch them or rip things out of their hands or bags. Thatâd be a legal nightmare. You canât arrest nor can you physically confront anyone unless your store has itâs own legal precedent for detaining people (like actual cops in shopping malls).
Management canât, and doesnât, make us responsible for this. And weâre a small local grocery that actually feels the pinch when people shoplift. It comes out of our budget though, not our paychecks, because every business has insurance that covers these things, not to mention an acceptable amount of loss thatâs accounted for. If someone steals some orange juice, the sales-to-purchase logs I make every week lump it right in with the yogurt I opened to give out a free sample. Loss is loss and itâs part of business. Unless youâre selling TVs or something like that, you canât always even be sure of how much youâre losing - since, again, you canât just grab and shake em down to find what they stuffed in their bag.
If your boss tries to intimidate and make you and your coworkers feel responsible for shoplifters, itâs all hot air. Youâre only screwed if youâre the one doing it and you get caught.
(hot tip though: with tiny business like us, you can actually get lucky by just asking for day-olds. It canât hurt to try. We give food out constantly. I probably give away at least $1000 or more in food per month. Steal from Walmart)
Holy shit holy shit shut the fuck up???
You know what they do when thereâs a high theft in stores? Cut hours
Cutting hours is basically, functionally, the exact same thing as cutting your wagea to the employee. All store has âtheft discouragement trainingâ so if your area has a high amount of thdft they will ABSOLUTELY cut the hours of the people working in those areas! Like this is an actual thing I have had to deal with. Thereâs theft in your department? Itâs becaude you didnât smile enough to make the shoplifter uncomfortable and stop? Because you didnât pay attention to every customer that you saw nd if you had been you couldâve stopped it because then they would know you were aware of them! And if that happened that MUST mean youâre giving poor customer service!
I have actually seen this. I have worked for MULTIPLE large chains and this basically how they âmake up for lost incomeâ because cutting hours when profits are down, or because they arenât providing good customer service, is perfectly legal. I have literally dealt with this shit before personally.
Stop saying nothing happens to employees when shoplifting occurs, that is blatantly untrue and only allows shoplifters to feel even more enabled to steal and fuck over some poor employee.
Stop.
Bad news friend: Walmart doesnât give their employees hours out of the kindness of their own heart. Large chains always stay as understaffed as logistically possible at all times, because thatâs how capitalism works. Theyâre incentivized to exploit you as much as possible so they do that, regardless of the circumstances
If your management tells you theyâre cutting hours because of shoplifting, theyâre either using it as an excuse to fuck you over even more while making you think itâs your fault, or trying to get you to work harder and betray other poor people for free by convincing you itâs in your self-interest to do so. But the best deterrent for shoplifting is a well-staffed store and they know it, they know that cutting hours due to shrinkage would be counterproductive, but they do it anyway because thatâs not their motivation for doing it
Iâve worked for multiple large chains too you know, and so have dozens of people Iâve seen saying this excuse is bullshit (check the replies for more!). What Iâve learned is that itâs impossible to determine the source of shrinkage, whether theft or miscounted/damaged/lost/underdelivered inventory. Iâve learned that some amount of shrinkage, including from theft, is always expected and accounted for. Iâve learned that itâs virtually always way too much of a liability to have employees on the floor try to stop shoplifting, and most of the time the only training on the topic I received was to not do anything. Iâve had jobs where I stole something almost every shift and no one ever caught on or brought it up - I mean do you guys really think lifting is such an unexpected and uncommon thing that they have to go into panic mode every time it happens? Please
Your enemy isnât the single mother lifting baby food, itâs your boss. These retail chains can afford to give you the hours and the pay that you need, but they donât - not because youâre doing a bad job, but because you let them get away with it. You and your employer have an inherently adversarial relationship, and the best course of action isnât to bow down to their demands and attack other poor people who are just trying to get by, itâs to fight back. You should be supporting the lifters, looking the other way, covering for them - joining them! - not blaming them for your bossâs abuse. Stop swallowing their propaganda
In the past I have literally worked for a grocery chain that was making increasing annual profits year after year. That same branch, let alone chain, continued to severely understaff the sales floor, resist giving out due raises, had a policy against ever coming close to overtime, and literally prevented every single cashier from being anything more than part time.
Shoplift. Shoplift to your heartâs content. Because Iâm telling you that the guff they give low level/minimum wage workers is 100% bullshit. Theyâre feeding you lies in order to take the onus off of the bosses and owners for leeching off of your labour. They want you to despise both your fellow workers (âMore workers steal than customers doâ) and the poor and working class masses.
A franchise does not suffer from petty theft, even en masse. Unless we all unanimously rose up to tear these fuckers down, they have an intricate system of protections from banks, insurance, other company ventures, hoarded wealth of the owners, the state, etc that will protect the owners from ever taking a real hit. If they lay you fellows down itâs to boost their own salaries and year-end bonuses.
Donât peddle their crap for them.

Thing is is, as much m/f that is produced in the world, as a bi woman, sometimes I want to see a man fall in love with an obviously queer woman. I want to see a man realizing that the woman he is interested in is gnc and that isn't going to change.
And women fall for GNC men! I want women who are enamored with their soft queer lover.
I want to see masc/masc and fem/fem m/f ships. Wlm and mlw can and should be queer in media.
You know what, Im seeing my own post again and wanna say.... I wanna see queer makeover scenes and I wanna see the love interest gush.
I want the nerdy conservatively dressed girl bestfriend get her hair done and her fancy clothes on and she appears in a pressed suit. And I want the love interest to loose his breath because she's so handsome in a bow tie and slacks.
I want the guy in a skirt or a dress, I want his love interest so blown away by the way his nylons look.
I wanna see the girl give the boy a corsage.
I want gnc bi love. I want gnc love period ngl.
call me ignorant but i genuinely donât understand why sports have to be split up by gender.
@ everyone in the notes talking about physical performance: if that were the case, then sports would be divided by physical performance. thatâs a thing you can measure. thatâs a thing that varies by individual. a weak man and a strong man would be an unfair fight in boxing/wrestling/MMA, which is why they divide those sports up into weight groups based on physical performance. but they also further segregate them based on gender. chess is segregated by gender for no reason but sexism. if itâs actually about skill and physical ability, then measure those and separate people by those metrics. donât do some bullshit gender segregation and pretend like men and women are inherently on different levels no matter their individual abilities.
Remember that time a teenage girl struck out Babe Ruth? Thatâs fucking why. Men are afraid of being beaten by women.
Remember that time male swimmers were pulled out of training because Kate Ledecky was leaving them âbrokenâ by swimming better than them? Remember how she didnât even notice, because she was busy actually training?
Shooting is a sport that has no reliance on strength and so any allowance for gender variation is irrelevant. The last time there was a mixed competition (1992) a chinese woman named Zhang Shan won it.
Itâs often presented as for the benefit of women. After all, theyâll be heartbroken when theyâre hurt or bested by men.
Projection is a hell of a drug.Â
this is why they drug test Serena like crazy. the believe no woman should be that good. let alone a black woman. and black women have always been considered âmanlyâ and less feminine.
also can we talk about how surfing is segregated as well? like how the dude who won this years international surfing cup or whatever was given $30,000 worth of prize money, while the woman who won the womenâs comp was only awarded like $16,000 of prize money???? or whatever it was. but I know it was either half or less than half of what the man won. like why canât they get the same prize money and when theyâre competing internationally in the same competition? they surely have the same level of skill and talent.
the pay gap in sports between men and women is fucking insane.
The pay gaps, not to mention lack of sponsorships for women athletes who donât look like models is insane. If you weigh over 250 pounds, no one will sponsor you. Itâs why most female Olympic-class weightlifters live in poverty/out of their cars.
Reminder that in international (and usually national too) womens athletics anybody with 5m/mol of natural testosterone or higher is disqualified. (See legal case of Dutee Chand vs IAAF.)
Do you or somebody you know have PCOS? You are banned from international womens athletics because you are supposedly in posession of an unreasonable advantage in sports.
Folks disqualified for hyper-androgenism in womens athletics.
Francine Niyonsaba
Caster Semenya
Dutee Chand
Margaret Wambui
And more
-
Why are those disqualified overwhelmingly black and brown? Because testing is case by case when an athletes performance âraises suspicionsâ. They overwhelmingly test athletes of colour, for being too fast and not meeting white expectations of femininity.
Racism and intersexism(discrimination against intersex people) in sports is abject evil. Desegregate sports.
All of this.
The argument that âbiological differencesâ make coed sports unfair is bs, because then weâd be directly segregating by things like metabolism levels, testosterone levels, height and weight. Not sex. Take one example: Michael Phelps. He has an innately higher lung capacity (twice that of the average person) that gives him an advantage. A biological difference that gives him an unfair advantage. Technically, if physical differences are unfair, he should be disqualified.
one day some of you will actually go outside and go to pride and youâre going to meet old black queens who refers to themselves as femme, youâll meet people from small towns who still use the word transsexual, youâll see that your local activist organization set up a stall about your local LGBT history that includes leather barâs history, youâll see lesbians in groups refer to themselves as âguysâ and âboysâ, youâll see someone with breasts and pasties and little else have âhe / himâ painted on his chest, and youâll be so caught up with your terminally online attitude that instead of appreciating the wide diversity of people who exist in the LGBT community who are brave enough to share themselves youâll just be formulating posts and tweets in your head for when get home about how âproblematicâ it all was and itâs honestly tragic
Once, back when I worked in an LGBTQIA dungeon, I encountered a significantly older person who remarked to me that they hadnât been to âthis type of placeâ in decades. They struck up a conversation with me and told me how amazing it was to see an openly transexual youth such as myself. I asked them about their experiences with gender and they said âoh, well, Iâm a bit male and a bit female. Menâs and womenâs clothes, sometimes makeup in a suit, sometime fresh faced in a dress when Iâm at home. You know, bisexualâ Obv this puzzled me at first until I realized this person was using bisexual in a very, very, literal and old fashioned sense, as in, dual-sexed. Non-binary.
Yâall gotta understand there are generation gaps in the language we use and you open yourself up to a LOT of very interesting stories if you stop blocking off the past.
One of the biggest problems with modern community is the idea that (white) western, post 2000s LGBT vocabulary is the only correct way to speak about sexuality and gender.
Like the freak outs under pictures of protests from the 70s-90s because signs and shirts say faggot and dyke and queer, as if these words werenât a key part of identity and activism.
Beyond just English, I saw a couple people making fun of the term âgender xâ in an animeâŠbut why would a Japanese production adhere to English standards?
Or the way people talk about pronouns as if every language uses pronouns the same way as English.
Itâs justâŠit indicates a mindset that these words are objective and written in stone and western youth culture is always the most correct in a way thatâŠfeels icky. Diversity in people includes diversity of language.
This is the best description Iâve heard for this method, I always thought it was bullshit because I never heard a description that actually explained how to do this other than âtap your head 20 timesâ.
I have anxiety-induced hissing, which sounds/feels different from sound-induced tinnitus (which I have also experience). Sound-based tinnitus actually sounds like youâre âhearingâ something in your ears, whilst the hissing I have feels like itâs âinside my headâ, if that makes sense. But this technique still helps!!
Hereâs a visual I found because I couldnât understand the instructions well
My ringing just went away for the first time in years. What is this blissful quiet.
wait wait i gotta try this, i donât think iâve had Actual Silence since i was like 5
HOW THE FUCK
And that's that on that.
Apparently I wasn't done đ€
These are FABULOUS, OP, but can I suggest one to the riff of "QUEERNESS IS NOT DEFINED BY THE AMOUNT PEOPLE HAVE SUFFERED"?
Thanks! Here you go đ„°
Some other additions:
Inspired by @unicorn-in-the-library:
And because @surfs-up-roxy wanted an ace one:
I didn't want to make the message ace-specific because I wanted to make a point of how all of the above include aspec people, but I tried to use an ace colour palette for the background :) I also think the message applies especially (even if not exclusively) to the ace community!
Hope you like these đ„°
@rockmarina possibly âall labels were made up at one point, stop being an assâ?
I played around with the concept a bit, I hope you like it anyway!
I feel like this also needs to be said:
What about something to the tune of âqueer language is not universal, sometimes the label someone uses will repulse you and thatâs still none of your businessâ
Hope this is close enough!
And also, because the original banners were in dire need of a little update...
