Every now and then a proclaimed new Rhaelya account appears, sends itself anonymous asks, then answers themselves. And I know people noticed.

They are usually like "Of course I love Elia. She was hurt.... Anyway! Rhaegar and Lyanna were so complex, so tragic, so misunderstood. Maybe they were a little mean, but look, I mentioned Elia’s pain for three seconds, so now I get to romanticize the whole thing after saying she was hurt, feminist~"

It is always the same performance. A tiny nod to Elia so they can pretend they are being fair and acted feminist.

A little “she deserved better” before they shove her aside again to romanticize every shit Rhaegar did or say he couldn't have known or he couldn't have done something when they just said "yeah we acknowledge he hurt her". Aesthetic sympathy and fake feminism.

You do not get to pretend to center Elia by briefly acknowledging she was hurt or get moral credit by saying "poor Elia", then building your whole fantasy around the people who either humiliated her or led her to her end.

Own it. But stop dressing it up as some balanced, feminist reading when Elia only exists in your argument so you can hide behind fake balance and "I understand the situation was complex and deep" bullshit so you can feel better about someone who did everything nastu to her after she gave everything.
