ooohhh what a fantastic question!
Personally, I started by reading fics. There are so so so many great fics out there, so honestly just go to the Willmack tag and look for your favourite tag and start reading. I can always recommend the fics from the Milano Cortina Olympics, simply because they are heartwrenching in the best way and usually more or less canon compliant! I will also link some more of my favourite fics down below :)
Second is just looking for content on your preferred social media website. There are AMAZING edits on tiktok (*cough* roseslaundry *cough*) that will make you fall in love with them in 0.5 seconds. I can also really recommend the Never Offside podcast if you want to get to know them a little better. And there are a ton of small interviews on the Sharks channel where you can also get to know the other sharks a little better!
Also, here are two lore masterposts in case you want to dig deeper: Willmack Lore, Willmack Primers and then obviously I can always recommend just reaching out to people via asks and just ask away, usually people are more than happy to provide you with more information! Especially if maybe you don't know too much about hockey itself, it can be really helpful to just ask other people!
Lastly, do not, and I mean it, DO NOT start watching hockey. It. Will. Ruin. Your. Sleep. Schedule.

Bone Beside Belief by @bluishfrog. Willmack as endlessly devoted entities which somehow involves teeth. Just pure Blu genius. I also wanted to rec The Weight of Being Good and Stairs, stairs, and more stairs. Oh, and love. but Blu told me I was only allowed to rec one fic :( But just go ahead and read her whole catalogue while you are over there!
The fifth first kiss by @lilliesinwater13. Will gets stuck in a timeloop on his 21st birthday. Once again really struggling to choose only one fic (I mean Lilly wrote not only MTN Dew® Slurpee Run Disguised as a Love Story but also Go to the Limits of Your Longing) but this one is an absolute banger! If you are into the angst of timeloop fics you will love this one!
