Well i started playing the demo, and that part with the flower, I thought it was gonna be all cute and nice.

This post talks about a new DM feature in youtube. What it fails to mention is that as part of this new feature is that when you send someone a link to a video, and they open it in the youtube app, they will see who sent them the link. Specifically, your channel name.

If your google account name is your real name, so is your channel name by default.

This means the new default behavior is that everyone you send a youtube link to will see your full name if they open it in the mobile app.

To turn this off:

Go to your youtube app settings

Go to Privacy

Turn off "Channel visibility for shared links"

So some fanartist drew a “sexy” (read: booby) version of a (cartoon) character who is traditionally very non-sexualised. Fans of the character got mad about it because it’s kind of groundbreaking how that character is written and portrayed and this art totally ignores the entire point of the character. They demanded the art be deleted. In response to that other people said, well what the fanartist did may be distateful but they have every right to draw what they’re into. The two sides fight for days and each starts a harassment campaign and even report their “opponents’” accounts.

So far so typical. But things eventually come to a head and they decide that this will be settled by votes - not through a poll. Through donations to a children’s education charity via each side’s portal. Whoever can get the highest amount of donation wins.

maybe he starts to realize that something is Wrong around the time the sanders sides series actually begins so all the events of season one ish are playing out as he’s trying to get a diagnosis and his symptoms are worsening.

i imagine the symptoms would affect the sides, with a really bad body pain day leaving all the sides bed ridden and that’s what causes total brain fog. on average/only slightly bad days, maybe only one or two of the sides are badly affected which is what results in days where talking to friends on the phone or watching tv is bearable but grocery shopping or doing other productive tasks aren’t. or days where crafting in bed is okay but socializing isn’t etc etc etc

thinking about virgil also representing medical trauma and fear around hospitals, and the conflict about wanting test results to be normal and not reveal a huge issue while also wanting answers.

thinking about them finally getting a diagnosis, logan researching everything there is to know and finding out that it’s incurable but manageable while virgil spirals because this will be the rest of their lives now.

thinking about roman finding comfort in colorful and decorated mobility aids whenever they eventually decide it’s needed. thinking about each side getting their own personal mobility aids in the mind palace. maybe it’s an ordeal like when they get their costume changes in Fitting In. honestly with the timeline maybe these things happen together

thinking about virgil’s hesitance towards making that step, towards getting the cane or the walker or the wheelchair and logan listing all the benefits

thinking about janus stepping up to take a larger role as self preservation, maybe working with logan to develop plans for days where symptoms are worse. talking through the balance between eating healthy and being productive while getting thomas not to overwork his body

thinking about logan himself getting frustrated that planning ahead doesn’t work because a disabled body is an unpredictable one. thinking about him being worried about how little they get done while also knowing that health always has to come first

thinking about patton getting caught up in the past, in a time where thomas’s symptoms weren’t as bad and there was so much more they could do. thinking about him holding most of the grief that comes with a disability with symptoms that worsen overtime

i don’t know if this is anything at all i was just thinking about how being disabled and accepting that has changed the way i think through things and make decisions, and how it would be interesting to see the sides work through things with a new element added
