gimmick blog but make it slow

This is one of the more ambitious pieces I've done for a bit, and I did it on an absurd deadline, but my trans dragon back patch is done! The project ended up taking 130 hours of working time to finish, using two strands of cotton floss for both fills and outlines. The base pattern was from my own collection and was originally from 1936.

embroidery will return next week. maybe. i have a piece that's almost done. the piece that was supposed to be updated between being sick/deadlines on other stuff/working a convention in fact had to be completely trashed because it did not come out remotely like how I want it to. It's not a matter of me deeming it not good enough, it fails at being what it needs to be and thus the point is lost. i'll see you on the other side i need to make friends with every pokemon ever.
