My primary gods are my ancestors. :/ You do know that a lot of indigenous cultures immortalize their anscestors through legends right??? Like my god has been facing an erasure campaign for like 500 years—tbh I think athiests have a responsiblity to not cross the same line monotheists do in just errasing cultures willy nilly because they are uncomfortable with people believing in stuff they don’t put stock in.

Like this makes me think—those erasure campaigns errased our history and oral traditions. If you study anthropology, you would discover that a lot of god myths hold metaphores for guilding the people and handling technology—but like the problem I have is that most of those histories are dying out—either because of religious supremacy, or… Well honestly I think advocating errasing traditions under the mantle of athiesm is till a type of religious supremacy.

I think scaremongering about how bad the conditions are in Cuba really only works in America where you can’t reasonably visit or spend time there because like. I know plenty of people who either live in Cuba part-time or visit regularly, and they’re not even leftists. But American media really is hoping they can bullshit the same way they do about the DPRK and that you don’t actually have any other info about it
