Pharmacy waiting section should have a soundproof thunderdome where people whose medication withdrawal causes aggression can go beat the shit out of each other while waiting for their prescriptions.
On the one hand, that would definitely solve one problem.
On the other hand, that just means you have to listen to them bitch and snap MORE the next time you're in line.
What part of "soundproof" means something else where you are from?
Soundproof generally means no outside sound getting in. But does not prohibit internal sound from bouncing around.
That reply seems to have assumed the entire pharmacy waiting section is inside the soundproofing, and thus everyone within can all still hear Normal Pharmacy Noises.
They did not realise that you were asking for a soundproofed area within the waiting section, still cutting out the noise from the rest of the waiting section.
