and somehow none of this is creating conflict. somehow this is their bonding activity.

and yet they're all looking at each other like they're soulmates.

As a half-demon whose existence is classified as high risk, she is met with immediate distrust from upper command and reassigned before training properly begins. Instead of being placed within a standard unit, she is assigned under constant supervision to Captain Celine Park, the military’s most accomplished and unrelenting demon hunter. Celine is designated as Rumi’s handler, responsible for monitoring her in the field, evaluating her stability, and, if she is deemed more of a liability than an asset, eliminating her without hesitation.

Under Celine’s watch, Rumi is forced into a system that sees her as both weapon and potential threat. Every mission becomes a test of control, every decision a measure of whether she can be trusted to stay human under pressure. As demon outbreaks intensify and the two are deployed together in increasingly dangerous operations, the boundary between handler and asset begins to blur. What starts as strict surveillance slowly shifts into reluctant trust, as Celine is forced to confront whether Rumi is truly a danger to be contained, or something far more difficult to define.
