Someone I know recommended I start thinking about becoming a protege and I was wondering what you looked for in a student-peer relationship? I have a general idea, but I want more opinions before I know for sure.
I am so glad that you are giving this such consideration. The protege-peer relationship is an important one, and should be given some serious reflection! All relationships are different, because people want different things or have different ideas of how to achieve their goals. I would suggest, rather than only looking for a list of criteria, that you consider asking yourself some questions.
What is my goal?
Can this peer help me to achieve it?
How do I want to achieve my goal?
Can this peer assist me in that way?
What do I want from this relationship?
Can this peer provide me with that?
Is this someone I want representing me?
Is this someone I want to represent?
I know others will have some great feedback for you, as well, so I hope that you will find what is that you need for this decision! Best wishes.
Other things to think about:
Do you actually want to be a peotege/dependent/special student at all? Just because people think you should doesnt matter if you don't wanna.
Do you want to be a peer? Folks will ask you this a lot while you think about becoming a dependent. Its ok to say that you aren't sure!
Lararium /Domestic altars in Pompeii, and altars on the streets in Naples. The ancient Rome legacy.
Notice: I made this set of photos because I find the resemblance between the home altars in Pompeii and the catholic altars on the streets in beautiful Naples, as old as Pompeii and so incredibly similar, to be very interesting and adorable.
I am not comparing the beliefs of the ancient Romans with the Catholic faith, but the resemblance in art related to the religious.

Making a fancy cover for your medieval book!
This process comes after the copying and binding that I overviewed in my other posts, so if you haven't read those, go check them out before proceeding.
Let's get fancy.

I'm looking at this and crying because imagine being able to walk up to a Medieval sewist, telling them you're sewing a quilt with scenes from your favorite story, and they just nod and say they did the same.
