Something that people don’t seem to understand about memory issues is that sometimes you literally forget to make yourself remember.

A ghost writer is an individual hired to write a book (or speech) for another individual without claiming credit for the act. In the early twenty-first century, it is common for famous individuals to hire ghost writers to write books on their behalf, and then present themselves as the author. Nominally the topic and details are determined by the individual hiring the ghost writer, but the actual writing process is done by ghost writer who is meant to disappear from the process to leave only the voice of the official author.

i feel like we dont talk enough about how distressing and disturbing memory loss issues are. forgetting what you were talking about halfway through a sentence, putting something down and instantly forgetting where you put it. having to reread one paragraph over and over again because by the time youve moved onto the next sentence you dont remember what the one before it said. always doubting if your memories of things are real, not being able to remember important life events.
