SO. The last time I made a PSG style tutorial was because of koukaiju making one of the standard protagonist body shape and I made one regarding different body shapes. I’m not going to find that one considering it is old as balls and the art probably looks very shitty. So, here. Have another tutorial that goes more in-depth with the style! 

I hope this is helpful, especially for those that are part of the DCMissionaries RP group over on dA or for those that wish to be part of the group, or simply for you lot that just love to draw in the style!

I’m going to try and focus on fics/authors I haven’t talked a lot about before but inevitably I will fail.  This is pretty much just going to be about UT.

Authors:

@officiallilith.  Andrew has written two of my favorite fics of all time, one being crack and the other being an intense character study.  But I would recommend all his stuff honestly.  He does such a great job working comedy and drama together.

@drundertalescum.  If you follow me you probably follow them too.  They’ve written so much it’s hard to choose individual recs, but I’d recommend rocktale (a Papyrus-centric character study) and Jangly Old Couch (follows Papyrus and Undyne through a lot of resets).  Their stuff probably comes up multiple times in the fic rec posts I just reblogged.

@papytonlesbian.  The author of one of the multichapter fics I’m following right now, The Walls Around Our Hearts, which is about Papyrus and Mettaton overcoming their respective demons and falling in love in the process.  He’s also written a lot of oneshots that I love, and he has some other multichapter Papyton fics that are worth checking out too.

Fics:

Risen Up (or, of Fallen Children and Mountain Kin) by @riverpersonn.  Takes place post-pacifist, with Frisk and the monsters putting on a musical to promote human and monster relations and Frisk facing a lot of their “inner demons”.  There’s a lot going on in this fic, especially with Frisk’s backstory and inner monologue, which is so intense and vivid I love it a lot.

Desiderium by @redkammy.  This one is an AU crossover fic, so a little bit different from the other stuff on here.  I don’t want to spoil too much of it, but basically it’s about the grief and helplessness you feel when a family member goes missing and how you deal with it.  Also, UT Papyrus plays a really interesting role in the story that I just love, it’s so different from the roles he usually plays.

Silencio by @sharada-n.  I feel like I’ve talked a lot about Shara’s fics on here, but this one is relatively new so I’m counting it.  It’s a sort of House of Leaves-inspired horror fic about Papyrus hearing voices in his head, and how it affects his life and relationships.  It’s really really cool.

Broken Halves of a Whole by @bublp0pr.  In this fic, a Papyrus from a universe where he’s an only child is taken to a universe where Sans is an only child, and they sort of adopt each other as brothers and try to work through their issues together.  I really like how the characters are captured here, and how their relationship isn’t perfect; they fight a lot, and they have resentments, but they still love each other.  Also the annoying dog makes a very good cameo appearance.

Theoretical Battle Scenarios (series) by @lethotep.  This is a series about Papyrus and his relationship with the time loops, Gaster, and more.  Each fic in the series is a little different, and explores different relationships and topics.  My favorite is the first one, but I love all of them.

Not A “Knife” Feeling by @andydemayonnaise.  This is about post-pacifist Papyrus suddenly having visions of a mysterious human killing him and his friends, and how he tries to deal with that.  The focus is on Papyrus, but we also spend time with characters like Asgore and Sans.  I’m not sure if this one’s abandoned or not, but it’s really engaging and it has me wondering what will happen next anyway.

We Need to Talk by @batter-sempai.  In the Soulless Pacifist ending, Papyrus takes Frisk (and Chara in Frisk’s body) underground in order to help Chara become a better person.  It reminds me of TV episodes where characters are locked in a room together and forced to get to know each other, and in that way it’s a great character study.

Ambassador Papyrus Tries His Best by @insanelyadd.  Here, the focus is on monsters’ first contact with humans after the barrier is broken and how Papyrus attempts to make the transition to the surface as peaceful as possible.  It’s a lot of fun and has a lot of entertaining human OCs who are desperately trying to figure out what’s happening.

Trauma and Telescopes by notcrindy.  This is a oneshot about Flowey and a slice of his recovery process after he moves in with Toriel and Frisk.  It has ups and downs, and it can be really sad, but at the end Flowey has found something new that makes him happy, and it’s really sweet.

Okay, that’s it! This is probably the logest meta post I have ever done! If someone finds some inaccurancies just tell me (but politely), I am open to correct mistakes and such!

Irken antenna are actually covered in millions of tiny hairs (they’re very soft) that allow them a very good sense of smell as well as pick up extremely small vibrations in the air.

The oil gland at the base of the antenna is used to groom these hairs as if they get too messy it can cause decreased hearing/sense of smell or even pain like an ear infection.

The oil gland has a secondary function, much like the glands in a cats face, it carries the unique smell of the irken and they (very rarely) use this as a way to “mark” things.
