What are your favorite au's (alternate story) I have that doesn't make the slightest sense: one that makes no sense historically of him marrying Ptolemy's younger sister. Ptolemy's family brought us the best queens so it is a theme that I like very much to think about.
I'm a tad unclear on the question. Do you mean do *I* have a favorite (if unlikely) AU? Or what do I think of the one you suggested there?
It is a very unlikely one as Alexander had no reason to marry anybody from Ptolemy's family at any point in the campaign, I'm afraid.
As for an unlikely AU of my own...I honestly hadn't thought about it. I reckon I tend to think largely about things that could happen. I suppose it might be a time-travel AU, but not of someone now going back then. Of Alexander somehow being brought forward, mostly to see what he'd make of the modern world. MANY, many, many years ago, Judy Tarr and I kicked around writing such a story, but it never came to anything. Right now, I have way too many (other) stories to tell for me to even think about returning to that one. But who knows, if I live till I'm 90 and running out of story plots, maybe I'll take it on. LOL
