my brain: here’s something productive that u have been procrastinating on doing for literally three mont-

Definitely needed an energy boost! Did an energy candle spell with my friend today. These are the results (mine was the red one!) At one point there were five different points of flame on the candle, then it eventually devolved into one big torch at the end. 

To do your own energy candle spell, pick a taper candle, preferably one that is orange, yellow, or red. Orange is best for energy and vibrancy, yellow for enthusiasm and happiness, red for passion. Cleanse the candle from any previous energies with olive oil. Carve any meaningful symbols related to your intent using a carving tool or athame. Anoint herbs and flowers with sandalwood essential oil, or, citrus juice. We used orange and lemon juice, and we mixed it with chamomile, lavender, rose petal, and angelica bark. If you don’t have oils or herbs, don’t worry. The process can still happen! Brush the wet herbs onto the candles using a paintbrush, or your fingers work as well. Lastly, write down your intention or wish on a small piece of paper. Try to be as specific as possible, and visualize what you are writing on the paper. Light the paper on fire, and use the paper to light the candle. Put the burning paper with your written intent into your cauldron, or flame proof vessel, and let it burn all the way down. Once the ash is cool, take a pinch of it, add it to a glass of water, and drink the water with your burned intention. Burn the candle down while visualizing your intent. Once the candle is gone, take any large excess wax and the remaining ashes, and spread them in the four cardinal directions.

simply because magic is not needed in every situation, nor is it advisable. recognizing when magic is and isn’t needed, or even a good idea is important in the life of the witch. 

here are a couple of examples of such:

things i have answered “no” to today:

bewitching your significant other (consent issues anyone?)

bewitching a non-signif to find out personal things (consent again)

asked for a spell for communicating with spirits (just because a skill isn’t developed doesn’t mean a spell will replace experience)

weight loss spells (dangerous and against my personal morals)

however, the one outlier i include is this, because it’s important:

easily google-able question (as stated in previous posts, i encourage people to develop their own research skills so they can grow in their craft when they reach an area of their path where there isn’t someone around to hold their hand and slip them the answers)
