And this is how it went. I started feeling ill with the least common symptoms. headache and diarrhea. It got worse then a fever and migraine started taking over. by the 5th day I had 104 fever, extreme body and mental fatigue, migraine, dizziness, bowel irritability. If we couldn't  get the fever to go down we were going to go the hospital. I took the worst cool bath of my life. Then on the 7th day of sickness i got a cough and lost my sense of smell. The 7th day. That's when we suspected Covid. 

There were no major telling symptoms that we constantly heard about. No cough, no trouble breathing, no loss of smell until 7+ days into a honestly terrible sickness. I got tested immediately. Came back positive obviously. And then spent another week with the same terrible symptoms AND new worse symptoms like the coughing and terrible shortness of breath and trouble breathing. The trouble breathing got so bad that for the second time we considered going to the hospital if it got any worse. we lucked out.

I couldn't move without hurting. I cried from pain so many times. I had to me medicated at all times or it would be unbearable. I fell from dizzy black outs dozens of times. I hated eating cause I couldn't taste anything, and then my stomach would cramp regardless of what i ate. The shortness of breath and tightness felt like the times I had panic attacks. Like I cant get enough oxygen, I cant breathe enough to catch up. Then the gasping would cause coughing attacks that we excruciating. this all lasted for another week and then most of the symptoms went away. I still struggle for a full breath. I cant taste anything except for the occasional fleeting hint of something. Fatigue is holding on still. I get winded and tired quickly. 

Poor me. Oh how terrible. Pity me!! No... 

Listen, I say all this because i feel it is important for others to read about all the ways people are getting Covid. there are a lot of polarizing stories. The horrorific reality of many dying in the midst suffering. Those who have had to be hospitalized and recover slowly. then the other side of the many who get no symptoms. maybe one or two. They get the equivalent of a mild cold. So its difficult for everyone to determine how seriously to take this illness.I am not grateful for getting covid. I am not happy i got it and i can be done with it. I HATED EVERY SECOND OF BEING SICK. it was the worst sickness ive ever been through. i dont consider it a blessing in disguise. I wouldnt wish this upon anyone. The risk of getting even just as sick as i got, is something i will strongly be against promoting. This was much much worst than a "bad flu". The only things im grateful for with getting covid is; the people i have in my life that helped. My husband especially. The medicines i could take. my body for being able to fight and get better, a job with sick pay, money in savings. Im grateful because i understand there are plenty of people out there without many or all of those things. im not blind to my blessings. Im not going to ignore those without those blessings. 

I think its easy to feel invincible. I sure felt untouchable before i got covid. For heaven sake, it was 9 months into the pandemic and i hadnt gotten it. so i thought i just wasnt going to get it. News and statistics and words from others told me my age group (early 20′s) was the least likely to get it and if we did we would not even know. Yeah... not true. 

This virus is bad. Its nasty. If you hate being sick, If the flu wipes you out every year, if you know others in your family get sick super easily and super negatively, then i would recommend implementing some easy systems in your life that help prevent sickness. im talking simple stuff. Immunity building supplements. washing your masks regularly, wear a mask or being mindful of your facial fluids while in public, wash your hands after leaving a high touch setting, and when entering a personal setting. wash your face more, sanitize high touch surfaces in your homes once a week. Simple sickness preventative measures.

Cause you dont know how this sickness will effect you or others. you cant determine how bad it will be for you. You dont know. you DONT want to find out. If you disagree thats fine. Thats your call. just accept the truth of uncertainty. ask yourself if your ready to  to make a gamble. I hope and pray for every person that gets infected that their sickness will be light and recoverable. I am ready and open to help anyone in my personal circle that gets sick (with anything). Im open to answering questions.
