So. When I read Stormlight & Warbreaker, Nightbloods voice in my head was, for unknown reasons, a teen, valley girl, who speaks very excitedly. (like the girls in Clueless).
And then, my husband is listening to Stormlight and Nightblood audiobook and it is voiced by A MAN. Whaaaat? So. I wanted to know: who’s the voice on your head for Nightblood?
Warbreaker feels so isolated to the cosmere. Wonder if the court of gods still exists in future age cosmere. Do they have very colorful ships? Will Vasher do even more wars? What about the treasure of breaths? And the army of the dead? Nalthis has kinda the best potential to be a menace or the best ally.
I don't remember, do they ever explain why those Nalthians where in roshar? The ones in Shadesmar. Where they Nalthians or my mind is making stuff up?
Has Autonomy ever tried to fake a Returned and snuck an Avatar in there?
Which of the shard are lgbtq+? There are 16 of them. They all can’t be straight.
Tanavast is a certified straight tho. Only a straight man can have such audacity as to continue a society restarting war for 1000s of years. Edgli, on the other hand, raging lesbian. She does not tolerate men’s bullshit.
I think Valor and Endowment should kiss.

What Sanderson doesn't want you to know is that Warbreaker and Yumi and the nightmare painter are twin books.
Idk what my arguments are I just know color and art are big themes of both.
This is just random thoughts ignore them
I'm shocked I don't see Warbreaker being discussed much here. If anything. I don't see fanarts. Comments. Memes like obviously we discuss the characters that are in Stormlight. But how tf have I never seen people discuss Susebron or Sondeluz
Where are the memes and fanarts of Sondeluz???? He's the best part of that book and I have never seen not a crumb of him.
Anyway here's my treatise on why Warbreaker is actually the best entry book for the Cosmere:
It's a standalone novel (for now!!)
While having lots of greater Cosmere ties, it can be read without needing any knowledge of the lore or major players
Strong characters and character arcs
Really gives you a feel for the Sanderson style so you'll know whether or not his other books are for you without needing to commit to a whole series
Really fun worldbuilding and magic
I do mean fun, btw. The main two princesses, Siri and Vivenna, have magical hair that changes color and length depending upon mood and whim, respectively. Also a magic talking sword that was Made Wrong but just wants to be the Goodest Boy (gender neutral). The magic itself...I shan't spoil but it is also very interesting
Sanderson isn't the best at romance but the fact that he tried to write a love story in this book for his wife makes it more romantic by default imo
The early clunkiness/debut energy that's present in Elantris has been smoothly ironed out. I like Elantris quite a bit as a novel but I don't find it a successful lure into the greater universe, tbh
Who doesn't love a bitchy, cranky old man as one of your primary protagonists
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk
