Even though I really don't want them to retread old ground I think it would also be funny if Vega (accidentally?) addressed his trauma and mommy issues after thirty years by raising his own baby knifemurderer. I mean from what little we see the kid actually seems to admire him so I guess he isn't completely traumatized by Vega's training? Congrats you somehow both got out of this experience relatively well adjusted. We will get you psychological help even if it involves sharp objects and attempted murder. Whatever gets the job done I guess

I mean, we almost did and I wonder if that's better or worse. I know in World Tour (I believe it's as part of Bison's questline?) you temporarily encounter a young boy in a mask whom you're tasked with defeating 'beautifully,' and afterward Vega briefly contacts the player and thanks them for their 'assistance' with the boy, who seems to be some sort of protege of Vega's

I'll admit that even though I get people's fatigue with the Shadaloo plotline, I think Vega and Balrog in particular are interesting to delve into since they've now gone in different directions. Vega in particular is a very psychologically interesting character and I feel like if they were to do a full master questline for him it could be a really good way to get a look under the hood, since it's at least been hinted at that his unstable mental state is mostly the result of witnessing his mother's murder and then having it warped further as one of Shadaloo's leaders. Obviously sharing his private feelings isn't something he'd just randomly do, so having a storyline specifically about gradually building favor with him until he feels you're trustworthy feels like it has a lot of potential, imo. And hell, give us some more lore on this new kid he's taken in, why not
