So, let's start about hair. Somehow, it was very difficult to find a hairstyle that remotely looked like his appearance in comics.

I had lots of trouble with this outfit. I can't explain why, but I couldn't pin down a single aesthetic I wanted. This is why there is such a gap between my last post and this one. But, I think I've settled on a nice aesthetic.

Top Left: Ralph Lauren Glen-Plaid Double-breasted Blazer. Top Right: Either from SnazzyLair article, "29 Men Fashion Styles Types: A Guide to Looking Sharp" or FuckingYoung article, "Street Style: Pitti Uomo 87 - Day # 3." Bottom Left: I can't find the picture, nor another angle of the same outfit. However, it was labelled on Pinterest as Pitti Uomo January 2020, so it might be from a Winter collection, or someone who in some way is connected to the brand at that time. Bottom Right: Sterling St. Jacques (c. 1951 - 1992), who is known as the first Black male supermodel.

So, I want Duke in this formal coat & suit style, paired with a beret and maybe even the scarf. I want the suit formal, so leaning less away from St. Jacques's sweater and t-shirt under suit from the Right images and more towards the Left images. I personally like the coat worn on the shoulders, too, rather than worn "normally".

Let's talk details and accessories-

The Top Right image of lace is the Rustic Boho Cotton Eyelet Lcae Trim, sold on Etsy by BoldEagleTrims. The Bottom Left is a Women's Cream and White Belt, sold on Depop. The Bottom Middle is from the Extra Petite article, "Coat Styling Tips: 2 Ways to Tie a Sash Belt." The Bottom Right is from the Madga Butrym, but otherwise unknown.

I want to incorporate some sort of lace detailing that resembles film reel. Imagine something like the top two images combining for the affect I'm imagining. That lace will be in three places on the coat: the collar, the sleeves, and the belt. The Bottom Left image combines with Middle, to give a mental image for what the belt would look like. The Right image has both a solid example as to where the lace would be on the coat. (ie- sewn/stitched onto the collar and sleeves.)

The Top Left is a coaster from Zazzle, while the Top Right is a close up, cropped, image of the Hollywood Walkof Fame icon. The Bottom is from can2print on Etsy, the mini clapboard for miniature film making. Either the coaster or the icon would be a good pair of cuff-links and set of button covers, while the clapboard would be a cute tie clip.

Last up, I have some brooches for Duke to wear. First, this requires an explanation. It wouldn't be a good reference to film-making without a specific person, character, or film in mind. Now, in canon Duke loves Tarantino, but I preferred to look instead at Sidney Poitier. Sidney Poitier was the first Black actor to win the Best Actor Academy Award in 1964, for his role in Lilies of the Field in 1963. He also won a Golden Globe award for Best Actor in the same year for that same role. So, I thought perhaps a Lily brooch would be a nice reference to the movie's title. I found a couple of options-

So, the top three would have crystals, diamonds, and were generally smaller. The bottom three would be non-precious material, such as faux-suede, mesh, and silk. I think the larger ones on the bottom layer would be good on his suit lapel, at the risk of being covered by the coat. The smaller ones would be good on his beret. I like the swarovski option and mesh ones out of the two styles.
