“House girls” are domestic servants, usually late teens though I have seen girls as young as six or seven, employed by middle and upper class families. They do everything from cooking and cleaning to caring for the elderly and young children and get very little wages. Most times these girls never see a penny of their wages- it’s all sent to their families. In Nigeria, these girls tend to come from very impoverished families living in border towns and often times do not speak the language before being sent to these families that exploit them.

Due to their young age, lack of any family nearby or money, poor education, and Nigeria’s legal system, these girls are overwhelmingly subject to sexual abuse at the hands of their male employers. In fact there is a common trope in media of the “husband cheating with the house girl and replacing the “madam” of the house. And when these men impregnate these girls, they are sent back to their villages in shame while the cycle continues.

They also face lots of other abuse. One of my mother’s friends was a “house girl” in the 70s when she was just thirteen and she was only given mouldy food and left overs to eat for most of her childhood. she once told me of a time where she was so thirsty, she drank the dirty water her abusers had used to wash their hands. I have also seen “house girls” physically beaten by their abusers and subject to horrific punishments- once as a child I saw a very young girl forced to ride in the boot of a car while all the employers children threw their imported backpacks at her.

There have also been situations in which families immigrate and arrange to bring their house girls with them. They continue to abuse them and when these girls manage to break free, they face deportation and further exploitation.

I saw this from the female separatism subreddit & the responses are some of the biggest reasons for separatism et al (or extinction if I'm being candid here). Moids cant be reformed they are fully aware of the hell they force women to live in. MaIe achievement & happiness is rooted in female exploitation & life. Their glory days are based on our horrific days. No amount of love, kindness or facts will change maIes and we cannot happily or even neutrally coexist with them.

They dont want to have to share spaces with species much stronger than them with ulterior motives

It makes me go crazy seeing people give moids benefit of doubt for their evil like "maIes just dont understand", "we need to teach maIes", or claiming that maIe violence is a result of maIes struggling with (expressing) their feelings. I get that women love maIes and it can be hard to imagine that people can intentionally be so evil but it is what it is. MaIes have no problems expressing themselves, abusing women is what maIes choose to do because they enjoy & benefit from it - that is their expression.

MaIes see the same news of women being abused, raped, and killed like we do except rather than be disheartened or alarmed they're either apathetic or satisfied. It isn't aliens that's committing GBV it's maIes & maIes have no problem reminding women of this when women anger them (such as rape threats & threatening women they'll end up on the news/true crime). The victim blaming, denial, and derailment of misogyny is part of the game to keep the system alive, they know the events occured & are a systemic occurence they just dont care. Hell not only do they not care, they rejoice in it or get off on it.

MaIes set up environments that work in their favour which simultaneously ensures that women will lose. They know women are set up to live in damn near impossible conditions for us. It's normalised for women to defenselessly share personal & private spaces with beings much more stronger than them with ulterior motives for us, it's trap. It's interesting how these moids aren't saying that they'll just cover up and *poof* harrassment gone, or they'll just pick a nice guy & they'll be okay. MaIes know the net negative they are towards women.

MaIes know that childbirth is a painful process & what do they do? Demand it happens and make it even MORE painful for women. MaIes that impregnate women do not love or care for them. Pregnancy itself is dangerous & sometimes lethal, often comes with a range of health issues, to cause someone to be in that condition especially in a environment where abortions are illegal is reckless & unloving. Now imagine how sinister & full of hatred one has to be to impregnate someone and abuse them on top of that. Many women risk their health & lives to reproduce with a Y and they get abused by said Y instead of being taken care of. Deranged.

TLDR: Don't waste time debating or educating moids. Focus on (building for) yourself & other women who aren't maIe apologists.

Other than having to serve a year for violating his probation, he never suffered any real social repercussions other than people referring to him a beater. To this day he still has a wildly successful music career

This is a great take on matriarchy. Matriarchy is patriarchy 2.0. You cannot have a society that is supposedly liberated of patriarchy, while women are having sex with men and are expected to have sex with men. As long as sex with men and reproduction exist, there is no liberation. Such a society as matriarchy would be hell for childfree women and women who don't want to be around men/don't want to have sex with men.

The majority of women don't want to be liberated. They want to get fucked by men and they will gladly accept the subjugation of the women who don't want to have sex with men. As long as women fuck men, rape and male violence will exist, because these women will want to keep men around.

We will always live in a patriarchy, because women choose it.

I also wanted to say I have for a long time thought the same. Motherhood is essentially one of the only contexts in which a woman accesses almost total power over another human being, and so provides her with ample opportunity to vent her frustrations about being powerless in all other contexts. I think a lot of mothers abuse their daughters because they like the idea of another woman suffering the way that they have (in addition to their internalized and externalized misogyny – mothers hate their daughters because all male identified women hate other women, and they also see the daughters as themselves to a degree, which manifests the internalized misogyny).

men and women are somewhat similar in iron demands up until 14 and then a huge change at 19 onwards. 19 year old+ men need around 8mg of iron a day. so like. a single large, or two small steaks. of course you get iron from things other than beef, and they'll likely get enough on any normal daily diet.

women need 18mg of iron a day and TWENTY SEVEN when pregnant. that's over TWICE the male requirement for your entire life and over three times when pregnant. THATS A LOT?? look at ur own diet for a minute and i promise you, unless ur going crazy on oats and chickpeas or something, you are NOT getting enough iron. probably not even close.

and I'm mind-blown by this because somehow, culturally, meat/red meat seems to be a more stereotypically masculine thing. when eating out, women get a salad and men get a burger or a steak. you google "person eating steak" and vast majority of results are men - when there are women, they've also got a cute little salad on the side, meanwhile men tend to have plates full of meat. (seriously. go google this. it's crazy)

WOMEN: YOU NEED TO EAT TWICE AS MUCH IRON-DENSE FOODS THAN UR BROTHER, UR DAD, UR HUSBAND ETC. MORE THAN TWICE AS MUCH. NO WONDER YOU FEEL TIRED AND WEAK ALL THE TIME.
