The Undead fought the Emperor's wars for more than 200 years, their stagnant ranks slowly diminishing as they reached out further into space."

This article provides stats for the Undead Legions, a long lost undead space marine unit that suddenly reemerges from distant space. Three scenarios pit them against regular marines, Orks, and Eldar. Players are advised to save all the extra bits from the plastic RTB01 Imperial Space Marines and Skeleton Horde boxed sets for kitbashing.

There are some similarities to the Legion of the Damned introduced by Rick Priestley one year prior in White Dwarf 99, such as both having innate psychic sense and psychic awareness, though their stat lines are significantly different. The backstory also differs greatly, with the Undead Legion being a deliberate creation of the Emperor, rather than normal marines twisted by warp entities.

“Yes, very indifferent, indeed,” said Elizabeth, laughingly. “Oh, Jane! take care.”

“My dear Lizzy, you cannot think me so weak as to be in danger now.”
