I once wanted to start extremely starving myself, so I could “be as skinny as Hannah” and I swear to you, I am not strong enough for anorexia. I know it’s a mental thing but the people that go through that shit are strong as fuck. Anorexia is really really hard.

anorexia isn’t a choice, nor is it something to be admired. we aren’t at all “strong” - no, we’re consumed by a voice in our head telling us to avoid food at all costs. you don’t choose to have anorexia, it entraps you. we are not strong.

I kind of hate the whole ‘anorexia survivor’ thing I mean yes we’re alive but we didn’t just ‘survive’ it didn’t simply go away and leave us here we fought we worked with every ounce of our being sometimes we still struggle we are not ‘anorexia survivors’ we are anorexia fighters and someday, maybe, we’re going to be winners
