Its insane to me how people just... eat. No thoughts about calories, no worries about weight, no tracking, no noise, no obsessing over your next meal. Food just being food.

Recovery is not linear. We have bad and good days. Recovery is not linear. We have bad and good days. Recovery is not linear. We have bad and good days. Recovery is not linear. being at a healthy weight for once is kinda nice because now I’m not fucking cold all the time, passing out, and my hair isn’t falling out anymore

I will no longer apologize for my body!
I have spent my whole life hating my body, putting it down, trying to change it, and feeling like I don’t belong. All bodies are amazing and deserved to be treated as such. Even when I starved myself for years, it supported me. It’s time I give it the praise it deserves!
Clothes come in bigger sizes for a reason.
Because bodies come in bigger, smaller, rounder, taller, and all variations in between.
Coming to terms with the fact that I am not 17 anymore, and this is just how my body wants to look has been the hardest part of recovery. Sometimes it's hard to remember that I am almost 40, and that even if I starved myself to rail thin I still would not look like I looked at 17, and I'm holding onto an image of a person who hasn't existed for a very long time.
It's OKAY to change and GROW. Whether you're almost 40 or still in your 20's. It's okay to be okay with a bigger body. You're not ugly, you're not disgusting, you are YOU.
Imperfection is beauty.

OkAY guys, remember. You don't have to be active everyday. You don't HAVE to take a walk every day. It's alright to have days where you're not active, when you don't work out or go for a walk or cycling or whatever. You don't need to earn the food.
Yello! My name’s Isha Gwen/Iguana Gwen and I dedicate this blog to my ed recovery journey that killed and destroyed me and my life, my relationships, my dreams. Before anything else, if you’re reading this:
It is a mental disorder - not a weight disorder. Your suffering is valid at any weight. Everyone deserves recovery.
My dm’s are open for anyone to talk!
More about my story:
Developing the ed was a slippery slope that I didn’t even notice took my entire life, my personality, my happiness. Although I didn’t choose the ed, recovery was a choice I made after hitting rock bottom and actually deciding to €nd my life. I had a previous recovery attempt that led to an even harder relapse due to the recovery i did was not sustainable. I was then put in psychiatric hold in the hospital when I reached my worst state. I made the conclusion that I couldn’t keep living this way— I was barely alive. Everything the ed made me do was horrible and tainted me. With guilt, with shame, with battling my own mind. I became a shell of myself and I’m now determined to find who I am again. To hopefully develop a healthier and more stable relationship with food.
I am choosing to remain vegetarian but I do not restrict myself throughout my recovery. I’ll try to show the reality of true recovery, the hard parts, and of course hope for a better life for everyone.
Hi :)
I'm 24 y/o and finally choosing recovery after 10 years of ana and mia. It took forced inpatient to finally trigger my desire to recover but I've never been more grateful to feel alive again.
6/12/2025 marks a new me.
